"Angel" is my number one and "Sleeping Angel" is my second choice. The rest are all "meh" for me.

I was caught between Angel and Sleeping Angel too. I think Angel lyrically is awesome.. But her voice on Sleeping Angel is just perfection. I went for Sleeping Angel, but now I'm changing my mind ha!

Sleeping Angel for me, with Angel as a very very very close second. Sleeping Angel is just a beautiful song, I really wish she'd stuck it on Bella Donna, it's amazing. The control she has over her voice is incredible, and she sounds so powerful. I love it.
Angel is very fun, but I think I prefer the live version to the one on Tusk.

OMG like totally Street Angel. I know I will be in the minority here but that song is effin brilliant and gets lost in the shuffle of SA being her klonipin album. The music to Street Angel (if you really listen to it) is very unique to Stevie. One of her most sorrowful songs and relate-able I must ad not to mention poetic. I think people get caught up in not understanding what she's trying to say so that is a distraction to the beautiful music. "Strange and elusive". The drum beats are incredible. It's like so intense! Can you tell I'm from the valley tonight? j/k. I mean Sleeping Angel is great and everything but nothing compares to Street Angels because they live on the streets and they always will! Angel is great live but too happy go lucky for my taste. Desert Angel is an amazing song with an amazing message and I love how passionately she sings it but at times it comes across as a bit cheesy. "Operation desert angeeeeeel".

Street Angel has always stood out to me among Stevie's songs. There's a brokenness to it that's present in other songs but never to quite this degree. I feel scared for her when I hear it! Great lyrics and great rhythms. I've always had a soft spot for that album and I think this song is the jewel in its crown.
That being said, I think Angel wins this vote for me. It just puts me in such good form and it's one of Stevie's best live songs. I did adore Desert Angel when I heard it first (and Timespace was my first Stevie solo album), but now I really have to be in the mood for it. The other two, I can take or leave. |

Sleeping Angel for sure.
What a powerful song. The vocal is the peak perfection of a Bella Donna era vocal. And the lyrics! They are beautiful lyrics. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. If this track were on Bella Donna I think the universe would explode or something because an album just can't physically be that good. |

"Angel" (especially live) by a hair over "Sleeping Angel." Both are excellent.
I will say that I think "Street Angel" is a bit underrated. Haunting lyrics with great imagery. |

Cannot chose! I love ALL those, sans Angel. Never liked that one for some reason... perhaps because musically it never really goes anywhere. It's just plain dull.
I LOVE the atmosphere of Street Angel... so dark and brooding. It has an air of hopelessness and despair, something that's not really present in any other Stevie song. Almost nobody likes Desert Angel, but I think it's musically beautiful. I really appreciate the idea of Stevie sending out beauty to those in war... even if it is via a somewhat shallow song. Sleeping Angel is perhaps Stevie's most beautiful love song in my opinion. Touched By An Angel is probably the most poignant 'modern Stevie' song, IMO. I believe it to be about Fleetwood Mac and the Dance reunion, and I'm a sucker for a song about the band. I look at it as a song about maturing and growing up, too. About loving from a distance, loving despite change, loving despite complications and the past. It's a beautiful song about forgiveness, and coming full circle. |

Touched By An Angel is absolutely beautiful. I forget about the song from time to time, then come back to it, and COMPLETELY love the lyrics!
