Wow, I didn't expect Doing the Best I Can to do so well, but here we are in the final round with that song and Rooms on Fire.
Will Rooms on Fire take it all as anticipated, or will Doing the Best I Can provide an upset? Though I think both are fantastic songs, I give my vote to Doing the Best I Can. It's a song I can relate to infinitely more than Rooms on Fire, as I've never experienced that toasty feeling myself, but I understand trying your best to get by while everything else seems to be going wrong and spiraling out of control.

Rooms on Fire gets my vote, as predictable as that song winning would be, I just think Berlin drags on. It's really haunting, but I have a love/hate relationship with it, while I just love Rooms on Fire. xD

I'm going for Berlin, even though I voted for Rooms the entire time.
I just think Doing the Best I can is more interesting, and I LOVE what she says about the song in this interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVuEIQrVS34 "You've got to let me grow up and leave me...to my own decisions. *music starts* I'm a grown up. I'm...not a child." LOVES IT!!

I've gone for Berlin (of the non-Top Gun soundtrack variety), but I think it's futile. *sigh* It's such a haunting and powerful song and definitely my favourite on the album.
And anyway, Stevie stole half the lyrics to ROF from Wilde. ![]() |
