So that leaves a mind boggling amount of demo timespace to ponder (our favorite pastime!) So I would not rule out Space Needle entirely (I love this song too.) however, as SuiteShangriLa mentioned it would have fit perfectly into the OSOTM theme of self reflections on her reality rising from the ashes of her former drug-adled rock and roll ego. Too bad she didn't write it & record it back then.

Also as we all know, Stevie is notoriously spacey about her time recollections, For instance the quote , "I pulled songs from 1976 that I don’t know why in the world did not go in the first Fleetwood Mac album", is funny cause the 1st FM self-titled record came out July 1975. And there's the quote about the "Wide Sargrasso Sea" song "It was a crazy movie in the ’80s that I loved. while the movie came out in 1993! (just a few klonopin years off) - I'm just sayin' anything is possible.
Gotta love Stevie's world full of mystery and time warp.
All very good points. Stevie always did have such a problem with time lines.
Maybe she is experiencing a world similar to ours just on a different time line, plane of reality as in a parallel universe full wonder and mystery in a place where there is no youtube, myspace, facebook, or twitter.... hmmmmmmmmmm

(Sorry, my mind just went into my dark place full of sarcasm), does not go there very often... sorry, carry on....

oh, like I was saying I guess anything is possible in Stevie's world and I guess we all should prepare for a wild Stevie ride where any demo is possible.

HAHAHAHA! I've been calling it that since I first heard about this collab! I love it! (and yet, at the same time I PRAY) that it's not really called that!)

Especially considering Joan Baez did the same thing about a hundred years proir...love Stevie's Annabelle Lee, but I don't see how it's a 'new' song, and not a 'cover' song...

Stevie wrote the music for it, the melody. It's a song.

"Dave respects me totally as a writer and as a lyricist and as a poet. We have a song I wrote when I was 17 that is the words to an Edgar Allan Poem called “Annabel Lee.” ...

Dave and Glen loved it, so we recorded it. It’s all my song except they wrote this 30-second English minuet thing that goes in the middle that is very Annabel Lee-esque. It’s fantastic. That was a good song without Dave, but with Dave and my musical director and lead guitarist Waddy Wachtel, between all of them they wrote this amazingly beautiful little piece of music. It just enhanced the song. I only know four chords so I could never write that. I took a month of guitar lessons when I was 15. I play with one note. I play well enough to write, but I don’t play enough to really play".

Stevie eliminated a verse from the original poem and changed the word "seraphs" to "angels". She wrote a melody that, according to her, could only consist of a combination of up to 4 chords, the rest of it being composed by various musicians but still says "It's all my song". I just hope Mr. Poe gets the writing credit for the lyrics. Otherwise it would be like me writing new music to Dreams and saying "It's all my song".

Mr. Poe will definitely get his credit , as Stevie stays pretty true to the poem's stanza's omitting a line here and there while shuffling a few words to fit her melody. Besides there are many musicians who have composed renditions to "Annabel Lee" (nobody real famous), And I think Stevie's arrangement to the poem is pretty good & better than most attempted in a pop setting. I envision an enchantingly gothic production to accompany the eternal love/tragic suffering theme of the poem. Annabel Lee is too famous of a Poe poem to not be obvious, as compared to when Stevie was inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Rappaccini's Daughter" and drew comparison's to her life and wrote the lyric's for "Running ThroughThe Garden".

Phil, I'm so thrilled about your discovery regarding the Stevie Nicks/Amanda Ghost collaboration! I loved Amanda Ghost's debut album "Ghost Stories" in 2000, she was often compared to Stevie in many reviews as I recall because of her writing style and raspy vocals. I had not kept tabs on her career to know that she has gone on to be a co-writer with the likes of Beyonce ("Beautiful Liar"-I love that song)! & James Blunt ("You're Beautiful) to name a few AND also named president of Epic records in 2009 (owned by Sony Music Entertainment), that is impressive! "The Ghosts Are Gone" song should be an interesting track if it indeed is the Amanda Ghost/Nicks collaboration - I wonder what year it was written? Has anyone checked to see if any new song titles have been copyrighted by Stevie lately ? esp. since she just wrote 9 new songs with Dave & 2 with Mike Campbell.

I have Amanda Ghost's "Ghost Stories " but I had no idea of all her accomplishments since.I'm really looking forward to "The Ghosts are Gone" as well as Wide Sargasso Sea"..The last time I recall hearing a pop song with a connection to a Bronte sisters novel was Kate Bush's incredible "Wuthering Heights" way back in 1978!

I wonder if this is indeed the same song or if Stevie decided to retain and refine the lyrics for a different musical track ie perhaps one of the Dave Stewart or Mike Campbell co-writes?
I remember Amanda Ghost from the Sweet November soundtrack that I got for Touched by an Angel.

Interesting possibility for the ghost song.

Well I'm a little dissapointed that the one confirmed song That I've heard before kind of sucks. But again it's just the demo. I thought Thrown Down sucked big time in demo form and was freaking blown away with what it became on Say You Will. In a way I'd almost prefer that demos I dislike end up on an album as opposed to demos I love. That way they can only improve. With the demos we love there's always a chance they'd ruin our beloved "All the Beautiful Worlds" or "space needle" like Lindsey ruined Smile at You just kidding... sort of.

Default Another Pic on twitter just posted by Dave

I'm beginning to see the real possibility of Stevie & Dave touring together after her album drops esp. after a tweet from Dave yesterday before Stevie's rehearsal in reply to @stevienicksnews "great idea we can build a dave and stevie army for when we launch our music together + live". Also hinting that Stevie & Dave could possibly release their albums around the same time (he has hinted at saying his could be out by Oct.). Stevie would headline and Dave with his new band opening, I can also see Dave appearing on stage for a couple of Stevie's songs and visa versa. Seem's like there's real urgency to get these projects released sooner than later giving credence to Stevie's comment in this interview re: the release date "we are trying to move fast because we have places to go and people to see.”

Also Dave posted a picture of Stevie's mike stand adorned at rehearsal's yesterday evening, here's the link - http://twitpic.com/2b05we

In addition some lady named Cat Deeley (a UK television personality & friend of Dave's) just tweeted @catdeeley "Love Stevie Nicks. Wait till you hear the new material she's been working on with @davestewart... It will blow your mind!!!!" here is the link - http://www.twitlonger.com/show/2sdqbp.

MORE WOW!!

I think Cat Deeley is a judge on a show like So You Think You Can Dance or at least she was.
