Default Marijuana Falls from Texas Sky

Tuesday, 20 Jul 2010, 10:20 AM CDT

CADDO MILLS, Texas - It was raining marijuana in a rural area of east Texas.

Hunt County Undersheriff Joe Knight says rural homeowners near Greenville reported hearing duffel bags filled with what appeared to be marijuana thud onto their roofs early Monday.

Knight said his department was advised about 5:30 a.m. Monday to watch for a low-flying aircraft. A single-engine plane was found abandoned in a field beside a runway at Caddo Mills Municipal Airport about two hours later.

No injuries or damage was reported. Knight said the public has turned in four black nylon duffel bags filled with what appeared to be high-grade, hydroponic marijuana. Deputies found two other bags of pot in the plane.

A man is in custody for questioning, but no charges have been filed in the case.

Caddo Mills is about 35 miles northeast of Dallas.

high grade hydroponic dope. God, and it just falls on your roof.

It's like a present from God.

I wish a plane full of Jim Beam Red Stag, in unbreakable bottles, would crash in my back yard! I'd never leave the house again, literally!

Interestingly enough, I live in Texas and had the same thing happen to me the other night! I was sitting on my patio, and my upstairs neighbor's baggy fell from his balcony... we were searching for missing buds at 3am.

Dear Texas,

I know we've had our disagreements in the past (most notably that one time I was on a business trip and accidentally almost died in Leatherface's Trailer Park o' Doom), but if this is evidence that your precipitation is going to be mainly comprised of marijuana from now on, I'm willing to put all that aside and perhaps come see you again.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond,
Zombie

Going home to tell my girls to pack their bags. We're moving to Texas.

I don't even like Texas (or the South in general), but that's it: I'm transferring to University of Texas.

Oh, you'd enjoy Austin and University of Texas. Read up some on Austin... it has more in common with San Diego and San Francisco than it does Texas. Austin is quite loose, hippie, and fun. I don't go a day without smelling pot on the streets or trails, without seeing somebody nude outdoors, and it's "The Live Music Capitol Of The World"... you seriously can even catch live music in the grocery stores here. It's an AWESOME town!

Yes, and yes! There are nude beaches here, the springs near downtown have open air Roman-style bath houses where people do nude tai-chi, I see people nude in my apartment complex's pool, I see nude people swimming in the swimming holes in the greenbelt by my house, it's all awesome! There's not much in the way of pious repression down here... people just drink, smoke pot, and get naked wherever they please it seems LOL!

Be careful, you might just have a Ledgie invasion in Austin. Check out your pm's.
