Rich Old Lady????...Who has it????

[thewhitewingedd]

I got these lyrics to a Stevie demo today from a friend. Does anyone have the song???

Rich Old Lady

Guess you've got yourself a rich old lady
Rich old ladies don't last too long
If this is the way you feel,
Then take her money
She's your honey tree...
She's not me

I guess you kinda miss the kind of love
That glows in the nighttime
(Glows in the night)
No more glowing in your eyes
In the midnight... midnight
If this is the way you feel,
Then take her money
Please don't punish me...
Baby, please not me

If this is the way you feel,
Then take her money
She's your honey tree...
She's not me
I don't want to be alone... she's asleep
I'm your honey tree...

Hear you've got yourself
A rich old lady
But rich old ladies don't last too long
But if this is the way that you feel,
Then take her money
She's your honey tree...
She's not me

I don't wanna be alone... while she's asleep
I don't wanna be alone...
She's your honey tree...
And she's not me
She's not me...
Baby, she's not me...

It took me awhile but I have a demo called Mystical Love with those lyrics. PM me and let me know if you would like to arrange some kind of transfer...

my copy has the warbly, warped old tape sound (plus I think it was likely taped from a vinyl because there are some scratchy needle sounds) but you can hear the piano fairly well and once you know the lyrics, you can make sense of what Stevie and the girls sing.

and the interesting thing about this demo is Stevie giving directional ideas throughout the song including where to insert the musical solo.

this demo is strictly for the converted!!! lol, that is until Stevie puts the song on an album...

I have something with "rich old lady" in the title, but I haven't heard it yet.
