August 27 - Trump Taj Mahal Arena, Atlantic City
August 28 - Foxwoods Resort Casino/MGM, Mashantucket, CT

Does anyone know if these are correct and complete? If they are and no additional shows are to be added, I'm surprised at the gap of 19 days between the first and second dates. I'm wondering if she has studio time booked for the period August 7 - 24? I imagine that Dave would most definitely be done with the Nashville sessions by then so it makes sense that work could resume at that stage.
I have no idea of the venues but are these small shows? If so, Stevie may just try something new after all, perhaps during the last three shows (which are all very close together)? Once again, I consider it very unlikely, but if the shows were intimate and she was raring to go, she might just try something new over a cover song? Jesus I hope so.
Leave it to the nicks fix to **** things up, seriously the SB show started selling tic. a week ago? The 1st show is in Santa Barbara a small and intimate venue very close to where she is currently living. Its a good possibility she may share with us?

Thanks RockALot, I wasn't really aware of what was actually going on tour-wise. So which date is the Santa Barbara show? Is there still a significant gap between any of the shows? Iwas thinking that it would be unlikely that she would add any more shows at this stage but I guess you never know.

There may still be another date around Lake Tahoe (cough a casino gig near Spokane cough), but its on life support. A Portland, OR area gig on that weekend fell apart long ago. Stevie wants too much damned money to make it worthwhile to any promoter with brains.

Its pretty delusional to call this a "tour", regardless. Stevie's flying private planes to casinos and getting paid big casino dollars to play the hits.

It is odd that all theses shows are at a casino except the Santa Babara show? And the fact that this show is often not listed

No, they're certaintly not staples but I believe both these songs had already been released (correct me if I'm wrong), prior to Stevie performing them...meaning, there was a chance that the Bonnie Rait or Bob Seger fans in the crowd may actually know the songs. If she performs her new stuff, nobody is gonna know them because they haven't been released yet.

Looks as though Dave is steamrollering along in the studio - it seems as though half of his album is already in the can. Knowing him, he'll probably have it finished in another week! He should be back with Stevie in next to no time and may well be available for the last few shows she's doing in August. If that were the case, they might just attempt one or two new songs, maybe in an acoustic fashion. Dave has already spoken of making a few acoustic appearances with Stevie to promote the album once it's released, but he might just get some practice in before then.

We all know Stevie's views of playing "the new songs" and her perception of the audience's reaction to them. Her overall impression is that nobody wants to hear the new stuff (although she did play a lot of new songs on the TISL tour). I think her reasoning would be that nobody's even heard these songs yet so of course they're not going to know them or want to hear them. This, of course, is far from the truth but I believe it's what Stevie will probably be thinking. Then again, she may just love these new songs so much and be so proud of them that she'll be compelled to play a few and not give a **** what anyone thinks. We shall see...
Were not all her songs (famous and otherwise) new at one point in time? Aside from radio play, those songs became staples because they were performed live. I understand that there are newer (much younger) fans who have only recently discovered Stevie. And it's reasonable to want to hear older songs. Yet, the majority of Stevie's fans are grown adults who grew up with her most popular songs. We've played them a thousand times; we've seen her perform them a thousand times. And we painfully see the stagnation. Most artists of her longevity give a courteous nod to the intial songs that made them famous, but they progress onward to create newer classics. Unfortunately, Stevie is not one of those artists. She's clung to those old songs for dear life.

We welcome new songs! We want fresh Stevie! I hope the new songs will dominate a future setet list, with just a a handful of old songs, and perhaps ones she's never/or hasn't performed in a long time. Of course, that won't happen, because Stevie feels trapped in the past, and doesn't want disappoint the causal fan --- and it's at the expense of her loyal fans who have supported her for nearly 40 years. She essentially devolved into a novelty act. So sad.

Is that a bad thing --seeing an artist you love performing something you never heard before? Should everything you see and hear performed be familiar to be a satisfying show? If you really love the artist, it shouldn't matter what the f*ck they play. It's a show- not a juke box. (Note: my frustation is not targeted to you, but to the general mentality & corporatized state of the music industry in the current time.)

I'm caught between these two. I'm not convinced the fact that it's a casino gig will affect Stevie's choice of setlist, really ... I think we'll get, at most, one new, but very safe song. No rocking out, but something pleasant to introduce the new album.
But as usual, this band are hopelessly difficult to predict. I think we're back to wait-and-see!

This I can see happening, she tells the crowd I have a new album coming out this fall (crowd cheers) and this is a new song from that album...

Had to throw the "this fall" in for laughs!!

I don't know what you think is so funny... fall of '11 is a very plausible release date for the new album!

Thanks for clarifying! I was starting to get insulted LOL!! I certaintly agree with everything you've said. I suppose I was just trying to present the argument from Stevie's perspective, however warped and misguided that perspective may be.

It's official. All those who said "Yes!" were wrong. All those, like myself, who said "No!" were right!

People are dying to hear about your album. Are you going to perform songs from it at the show?

No, because it would be filmed and recorded and on YouTube the next day. So this record, just like my art, will be held very close to the heart. No one is going to hear it until it comes out because I want people to be surprised. I want people to hear it in its finished form. We filmed the whole thing and we had two photographers with us the whole time.
