He said in another tweet that it was the last night recording at that studio. Big, big difference 3 words can make .

Oh yea, you're right! I'm sure he will continue to fill us in on the phases of the album.

Steve Ferrone is the premiere session drummer, probably up there only with the likes of Kenny Aronoff and Russ Kunkel. If nothing else, I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that this is not some cheap and quick recording session using Pro-tools and a Mac Airbook. She's spending real money in a real studio with real musicians. And with Mick Fleetwood in the mix somewhere, you know it's going to be back to basics, e.g., Wild Heart-era. And if Mike Campbell and Steve Ferrone are involved, perhaps it's not too far of a leap to assume that Benmont Tench got sucked into the project too, which would also seem to suggest a sound in the direction of BD and WH. Wow. I can see why Dave Stewart describes this recording as "epic;" one does not just work with so many legendary musicians, Miss Nicks notwithstanding, on a daily basis. I guess we will all wait to see what Dave's influence will be. I suspect that he gets her, which is the most important thing a producer can do. Otherwise, you end up with a crap album; Glyn Johns, anyone?

I can't help but wonder whether Stevie has a new muse or some kind of new-found urgency to work. It seems that she accomplished more in the first six months of 2010 than she has in the past six years put together. Between the Buddy Holly song(s), the Rumours tribute and her own album, she has been working feverishly, and just for shizz and giggles she's also going to do some live dates to boot. I wonder if she had some kind of epiphany or life-changing moment?

I bet this isn't an amateur photo by Dave. I'd have to do some digging through multiple threads, but sometime in the past couple of months, a professional photog tweeted about going to shoot Stevie in the studio. I bet that's where this came from .

I reckon you're right Louie but remember, Dave is a professional photographer himself these days so he may have actually captured a few images during the recording process, particularly on the final evening. I do remember though there was a female photographer present during the sessions at Dave's and Glen Ballard's studio back in Feb/March so I'm sure that some of the images that make it to the album sleeve/booklet will be from that time.

Ahhh, and it's probably the same photographer who took the photo of Dave and Stevie on the mixing console.

Is it just me or does "Italian Summer" sound like a Belinda Carlisle title? I guess it's conjuring up memories of "Summer Rain" and "La Luna" for me - I like the former but not the latter. She may have co-written a song or two with Rick Knowles after all!

New tweet about Stevie & Dave

Wildaboutmusic Just back from a wild night in the studio with the great Stevie Nicks & @DaveStewart. First reaction to this work in progress: WOW.
about 1 hour ago via web

All these tweets and pictures are making this whole thing that much more exciting. This is the best way in the world for her to generate interest in the album...although, her tweeting all this stuff herself would help

And another...

Wildaboutmusic I will elaborate and share details soon. But for tonight, I'll stand by that WOW. And a good wow too.

Ahhh! I am sooo excited! It has been described as epic, magic, and now wow. Let's hope it turns out to be truly amazing.

^Sounds like good news, doesn't it?!!!

You know, the thing about Stevie is that if she's having fun, it comes out in her music. Hopefully, they're all having as great a time as they are saying...that definitely bodes well for the final product

I remember at the last night of her tour in 2008 at PNC, she said that she was spending the summer in Italy. I am sure that this song was written about her time there.

I can't believe you just said that. I was thinking the very same thing—Summer Rain, produced by the same guy who did TOSOTM. I liked both songs. That was by far Belinda's best album.

It floored me that you said that.
