Beautiful Child definitely translated much better. But at least she did something different!

Yes, agree with both.

I am mostly joking with the following- but have any long-time Ledgies noticed how there have been more than several 'new fans' showing up saying they NEED to hear the same old set lists?! How nice it is that we have had a chance to get tired of them, but they, the new fans, have to hear the same old stuff? Wouldn't a new fan want to hear anything and not know the setlists of decades so well?
And where are all these new fans coming from? Have Sharon, Lori, Jessica, and Stevie's assistant all become Ledgies to let us know that 'new fans' don't want Stevie to change, because they haven't had a chance to get tired of her setlists yet? How would a new fan know so well exactly what her setlists are?
i KNOW there are some new young fans on The Ledge, several, at least. And they are for real and wonderful, and refreshing to read.
Where the ef do ya think the rest of em are coming from? Late-night re-runs of Soundstage?

Well, to answer you even if you are only kinda joking...

Speaking for myself, when I say new fan, I mean new in the sense that my obsessiveness has reached a new level, as I’ve always been a casual fan. However, I’ve only recently joined the online fan community. I’ve lurked around here for about a year, and that’s more than enough time to know what the usual setlist is for Stevie/Fleetwood Mac.

Having never been to a show before, I honestly wouldn't care if Stevie performed the songs she’s been performing for years. I’m not tired of them in their album forms or in the many live versions I’ve heard, and in fact, I would love to hear those songs at a show myself. But I also wouldn’t care if she performed songs she’s never performed before.

It doesn't matter to me as long as she does an awesome job.

I figure most of them are saying it because they've never been to a Stevie Nicks concert and have yet to hear Any of her songs live.

I've heard people say that if they were taking a picture, they would be so mad if Lindsey did that and ruined it, but I would love it. I'd be mad if I took a picture and he blinked right as I was clicking the shutter, but when he's deliberately being a kook . . . that would make my day and my photo album.

Stevie's set lists have always had a somewhat odd combination in their selection, in that she doesn't typically include many of the hits that a casual fan would be expecting to hear yet stocks it with warhorses that die hard fans are sick of. Even what was arguably her best set list, the Enchanted tour, didn't include some of her biggest hits ("Talk To Me", "Rooms On Fire", "If Anyone Falls", "I Can't Wait", "Leather And Lace"). I remember hearing a couple behind me grumbling as everyone was leaving after the show.

I don't understand why she doesn't put some of the rarely performed hits back in the set, which would satisfy both die hards and casual fans. Certainly "Rooms On Fire" would be welcomed back, and it would be great if she tried "I Can't Wait". Yes, I know it's a difficult arrangement to pull off live, but c'mon Stevie, put some work into your live show!

With some of these familiar hits in the set, then maybe some of the warhorses could be retired and not be missed (I'm thinking "Dreams" and "Rhiannon"). In any event, even if the warhorses stay, I would certainly rather have those rare hits than cover songs ("I Need To Know", 'Rock & Roll", etc.).

It baffles me why Leather and Lace has been absent for her set for so many years (I lost count but I think RAL was the last time it appeared). It was a major hit, and could be done beautifully with Sharon and Lori's harmonies. They could even share the mic with Stevie ala Bella Donna tour to create a very special moment that could easily replace the oh-so-well-worn Landslide. It's a no brainer.

I'll work on it! I'm quite fond of this picture!

I completely agree! I think if I ever get a picture with the band, I want all of them to make funny faces. It might take a little bribery for some of them (well, probably just Stevie).

This topic keeps coming around and around and it's always the same thing, newer fans who haven't seen Stevie before want to hear nothing but hits. Older fans who've seen Stevie many times over the years want something new. What I don't get is why Stevie doesn't switch things up. She said she loved doing "Beautiful Child", "Storms", "Crash", "Circle Dance" and touring with Tom Petty because it let her do something different. She seems to believe she can only do slight variations of her original "Bella Donna" tour set. Every other artist out there that tours as much as Stevie does changes things all the time. She can do the same.

I think, from reading the posts on here, as well as through several years of complaining, that the problem boils down to one simple solution. It's probably too much to ask that the tried and true warhorses are retired from the setlist, but there are a lot of well known songs that were hits that could be included in the show. Get rid of the covers, the album tracks and fill those spots with some songs that havent been played in a long time. If her set list was made up of all her hit songs and maybe an album track or two, whos really gonna complain? DIe hard fans will be happy to have some lesser played songs back in, newer fans get to here all the songs they have been waiting for, and the casual fans who show up get a show filled with songs they know. Everyone wins.

A set list of the singles would be cool:

Stop Draggin My Heart Around
Leather and Lace
After the Glitter Fades
Edge of Seventeen
If Anyone Falls
Stand Back
Nightbird
Talk to Me
I Can't Wait
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
Rooms on Fire
Whole Lotta Trouble
Long Way to Go
Blue Denim
Maybe Love
Sorcerer
Everyday

Lindsey could ruin my camera, for all I care. I'd haul the wreckage around and show it off. "See what he did to my camera? SEE?!"
