Here a piece of history, It will be 35 years coming up for the Trod Nossel recordings,Since the studio is in my home town of Wallingford CT, On George Street ,right down the street from my old apt.I go by this street the studio is on ,everyday going to work.Today I had my digital camera with me so I took a snapshot of the studio as it looks today.
![]() Ooh,I can hear the walls reverbrating Rhiannon. At that time I was in school,If I known I should of sneaked down there to see the action with Stevie and the gang. But ,my mom would had my a$$ in sling if I did.

It's so crazy to me that this place is so close to where I grew up (Hamden). The Trod Nossel recording is one of my faves and it kind of blows my mind that such an intimate show happened so close to home (even if I wasn't even a thought yet when it was actually occurring!).

Hi Macfanforever! Same as you, I've lived in Wallingford, CT my whole life and every time I drive by Trod Nossel I think how cool it is that my favorite live show was recorded in my hometown! I was 10 years old at the time so I didn't go to the show, but years later I heard stories from musicians who record at Trod Nossel. Legend has it, FMac went to dinner at the finest restaurant in town at the time (Yankee Silversmith Inn) and was asked to leave due to their partying. I heard it was "snowing" inside!
![]() The restaurant is gone now due to a fire, but it was a cool landmark at 146 years old with special seating in an old train car. Great pic of Trod Nossel today! All of these famous photos were taken at Trod Nossel: http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Se...%3BConnecticut And a few more of Stevie on the race car. The author has the year wrong, but the pics are great! http://www.doverdragstrip.com/phpBB3...hp?f=9&p=13678 |

That recording was always one of my favorites and was thrilled to know of its origin when I lived in Wallingford. Always wishing I could turn back time and be there to witness. Eventually I worked briefly at Trod, just to get a little closer, and also ate at the Yankee Silversmith many many years ago. Thanks for the history on those car photos which I always thought were awesome and loved. Last weekend driving through CT, I was thoroughly enjoying the classic rock memories that WPLR still spins every day up there, and that I usually don't listen to daily anymore.
