That's exactly what I was thinking, but with OOTC. It's the best solo album from a Fleetwood Mac member, IMO.

I believe in every Fleetwood Mac incarnation, as long as it's by, well, Fleetwood Mac. My favorite band deserves an unconditional love, no matter who's in and who's out.

I was just kidding. I think...
I understand the fact that you stand up for Christine (I know you don't care about Go Insane ha), so, I'll defend Stevie !
God, now I'm saying the exact opposite of my previous post...

You know I think the 16 members of Fleetwood Mac has been seriously exagerated over the years. Really I think 15 would be more accurate. Bob Brunning shouldn't be considered a member any more then Brett Tuggle is. He was the first back up musician in the band. Has mick or anyone near or close to the band ever came out and said exactly how many members have been in Fleetwood Mac through its history. I think 16 is just a number us fans have come up with.

I can't stand OOTC. It's my least favorite of Lindsey's solo albums other then Go Insane. I was initially sucked in by all those indulgent guitar solos on every song, but then quickly realized they just werent any good. Evrery song on there is definitly listenable, but they're all 6 out of 10's at best. If we're comparing solo albums released in the 90's I prefer Street Angel to OOTC.

I know OOTC is generally considered Lindsey's best grouping of songs, but I just don't feel that at all. His best group of songs are his Tusk songs, with all of his post Dance music very very close to it. I don't know how to group it, the original GOS which morphed into SYW and his 2 solo albums is just all gold, with the officially released 2008 GOS being the best of the bunch.

The difference being that Brunning was actually a member of Fleetwood Mac and would have continued to be so until perhaps this day if McVie hadn't left Mayall. Perhaps Brunning is exaggerating a bit but even on his website he says "I was a founder member of Fleetwood Mac..."

In my opinion it is the fact that those songs ARE listenable that makes it Lindsey's best solo work

When I bought that VIP ticket package for the Unleashed tour, Cory, the woman in charge of giving us the back stage tour and escorting us until the show started gave a trivia quiz to us and she asked how many members of the band there were. The answer was 16. I don't know where she got her trivia information from. I'm sure it didn't come directly from John McVie or anything. Maybe she got it from Wikipedia. But I sort of think that technically speaking, the band acknowledges that it has had 16 official members.

Of course, Brett Tuggle has been affiliated with it longer than some of the formal members. Michele

Amen to that!!!! I've felt that way forever. The guy is on one album, played a few dates before John got his act together and he's been playing on that miniscule bit of fame his entire life since. I read a book he wrote about FM years ago and honestly feel like I'd have been better off reading Tolstoy in Russian backwards in a mirror instead of reading his book!!!! And I can't read Russian - forwards, backwards, or any other way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The book was just horrid. I forced myself to read the whole thing, hated every minute of it and got rid of the book the first chance I got. I think I even recycled it instead of donating it to a library as I would normally do.

As you can tell, I have no love for Brunning.

Actually I enjoyed Brunnings book but hey it isn't the first time we disagree

No, I disagree. He's on one album therefore he was a member. Saying otherwise is like saying Gary Valentine wasn't a 'proper' member of Blondie but... he was

Rumours and Lies? I didn't like it either. Not because of the information, the various inaccuracies but for the atrocious grammar. I too forced myself to read it but the hideous quality of the literature was enough to ensure that I'll never read it again

Some things you just HAVE to accept as facts. Such is life. Brunning was the original bass player of Fleetwood Mac can't dispute that, it's what IS. McVie flat out said "NO" to Peter Green the first 50 times he asked him to join. John "getting his act together" had nothing to do with it...it was finally a disagreement with Mayall about the direction of the Bluesbreakers that spurred McVie into bailing out and joining up with Peter, Mick & Jeremy.

Yep, sure was. John, Paul, George, Pete Best & Stu Sutcliffe...but Stu later died....and Ringo replaced Pete Best. They eventually got down to 4, but for a while they had 5.
