Default oops one other thing

I forgot to add this to my last post. I think this is worth mentioning:

It's bad enough when critics don't "get" Lindsey. But it's not suprising. It's quite another thing though when FM fans don't "get" lindsey. It really just makes me wonder what they think they've been hearing all these years.

Lightbulb Well, David...

Different opinions make the word go round, but I understand your frustration. I don't understand why people don't like bands/singers that I like, but whatever. I chalk it up to the fact that to most people, music is something you tolerate on the radio driving down the road, it's just there. To ME, music is ESSENTIAL to living...I HAVE to have it...it's my drug of choice, I would love to overdose on it!! LOL In everything I do...washing dishes, cleaning house, working, surfing the net, even watching TV at the same dang time, I have to have music on. It's a shield from the harsh world, it's a net to fall into when you fall over the ledge (hehe), it's a lifeline for me.

Anyways...YES, in answer to your question...I always feel like I have a secret in regards to Lindsey (and FM kinda) and it is AWESOME when people get it, but if they don't, I look at it as, well, they are the ones missing out. Hehe.

I have seen Lindsey live 4th row, right in front of him, and when he played Big Love on The Dance I literally cried!!!!!

Thats when I really appreciated his musicianship more (is that a word?? if not, can it be?? )

I remember it got suddenly quiet on a part of that show, and I yelled "LINDSEY" and waved my ass off, and damn if he waved back to me and smiled!! I died!

(I'm still the classic Stevie fan, but have a much bigger appreciation for Mr. Lindsey...)

Christy, you crack me up! When do you see FM?? I'll be thinking of you, passing out the minute he walks out, missing the whole show, but being perfectly content that you saw that man walk in real life. (I hope not, but it's kinda funny to think what your post afterwords would be like)

I can definitely understand where you're coming from, as I can't understand why even the biggest of Lindsey's detractors aren't able to at least find *something* to give the man credit for! Whether it be his songwriting, his guitar-playing, his voice, his production prowess... something!

I also feel the same way in regards to Stevie.
It totally leaves me scratching my head when someone doesn't seem to "get" Stevie, and what makes her talents so unique, and her songwriting style so ingenious.

Granted, and as I've said countless times, it's really all about what speaks to an individual... but the people who seem to find absolutely nothing to like about one or the other (or both) really surprise me.

Ah well, to each his own.
(In the meantime, as fans we can just take pride in feeling like we know something special that some others don't!)
