Probably, but I wish she would spice it up. Bring in Ann and Nancy Wilson for a change! And then maybe some newer artists like Pink, Hayley Williams, John Mayer, or Matt Nathanson.

haha, ok, yeah John? I believe the point is to make sure Miranda DOESN'T have a heart attack. If Hayley and Stevie duet. I.WILL.DIE. IT would be the most amazing thing on earth!

I remember reading a Stevie interview where she was talking about how disenchanted she was with the recording industry and the internet but also spoke of her love of singing and recording music regardless of how many people heard her songs and she made mention of just releasing an album available in Starbucks or something like that.... for some reason I think it was a coffee chain... do you think her new album may be released that way?

But... she already sang with Ann and Nance as for the new artists, Florence Welch!

We'll probably get Taylor Swift. I want Ann and Nancy, too.

Hey, people. At least she hasn't given up on her solo career.

First of all, I am beyond thrilled that something is coming. That being said, I can't help but feel a little bit of dread at the same time. I dunno... Dave strikes me as someone that overpromises and under-delivers. Dream on, silly dreamer. He hasn't done anything particularly fabulous in decades, and even the last couple of new eurythmics tunes were kinda meh. And he comes across as the Ed Wood of music in his tweets. He works very, very quickly, and everything is "amazing." He's no tortured artist. I also find it disturbing that he will be starting his own solo album immediately after Stevie's. Will he be watching the clock the entire time? Perhaps he should consider the old adage- less is more.

Thanks for the update.Dave is is going to release only on vinyl, thats great..Stevies special friends,I like to see the Belladoona band back with her.On new artists,I dont follow any of them, except the country artists.I never heard of Florence Welch, but I looked her up on Google.Taylor Swift ,I dont think that will happen .unless ,Stevie will straighten out Taylor's vocals, with more practice time.

YES!!! Finally a solid confirmation from Dave in a reputable trade mag that Stevie is recording a new SOLO cd. But Stevie...Please, Please....say NO to any Taylor Swift special appearance!! At this point in Stevie's career I really don't care for her to have any current artists on her new cd. I do however think it would be terrific if Stevie & Tom Petty reunited for a killer duet.

I have positive feelings about this new release. It's been the longest span of time between brand new solo work, and I believe that Stevie wouldn't release anything she wouldn't be absolutely proud of at this point, especially after SYW left a bad taste in her mouth. Also this is the follow up to Stevie's self professed "masterpiece" TISL, and you can bet that she has been working hard to come up with great material, & possibly supplementing it with a couple of old fan favorite demo's.

I guess time will tell... but for once it seems, I'm actually not looking forward to a new Stevie album at ALL. It's so strange...
You're correct. This whole experience thus far has been very atypical of how Stevie normally operates. I think this MAY be what Dave meant by his now infamous "making (an) album in a whole new way" tweet. It's a "whole new way" for Stevie to be making an album. (Although it sounds like the Wild Heart may have been done in a similar fashion, and look how great that turned out!). And I disagree about the end result of this project. Stevie herself has said that she gets antsy in the studio if she's in there for too long. I feel that working quickly and keeping the momentum going will only improve the end result. I think it will be far more inspired affair. I just hope the cover art is kick ass!
