Default Dublin Unleashed Concert October 2009

Hi everyone, I was at the Dublin show on the first night (29th if i remember correctly) - got some videos on my phone but the quality's not that great. From all the reviews I read and the general consensus, a lot of people said that the Dublin shows probably rocked the most outta the European shows.... Therefore I was wondering has anyone got any good video's, torrents, clips or even any stories to tell???? Tryin to relive the old memories !!! lol

Hey there! I was there too, and it was epic!... It's a pity no one recorded it... My own recorder was broken two weeks earlier

It was on the 24th/25th they played (and then Peter Green played Dublin on the 26th; best weekend ever!)

here are some photos I took, and I've some (pretty low quality) videos on Youtube...

I was there for both nights as well. The first night was slightly better than the second but both were great. Lindsey was the highlight for me both night. I'd seen Peter Green earlier that week in Belfast so it was a good week.

I was right in front of Stevie at the stage the first night, and then up near the back for the second night... talk about polar opposites!

I was right at the front beside lindsey. He let me play his guitar loads the best time was during the solo at the end of GYOW. I was wearing my Green GYOW T-Shirt so he knew i was a fan. He was high fives all night with me it was class. Then he gave me one of his guitar pics at the end
Just before the concert i got in with my rick turner Model 1 guitar and Lindsey Signed it. He found it so weird that it was a lefty, it just looded like he couldnt get his head around it all...it was funny. I also got one of his guitar straps off his stage guitars which i put straight on to my Guitar
So all in all it was absolutely epic. Not to mention the music was pretty amazing too.
Stevie came over to towards me on the stage and pointed and said something but i couldnt hear her. So I just thumbs up back at her

And Janna Anderson who winked over at me and waved a coule of times.. whoaaaaaa she is hot stuff.

Best night ever... best concert i was ever ever at. It will never be topped

I remeber when you first told us about getting the guitar strap and autograph, and the whole evening...such a neat story, and I definitely envied you ( in a good way! ) PLEASE tell me your eBay sale fell through. It broke my heart when I heard you were gonna sell it

Thankfully I got to spend time this weekend polishing my Model 1 and putting new strings on it. So it most definately did not sell on ebay, Nor did I really expect it to.
That little guitar will be staying put for another while for sure.

I was there for the two nights. Atmosphere was slightly better the first night but both concerts were great. Lindsey stole the show! Silver Springs was dropped the second night.

Here's a few videos I took from the second concert. Had a better view compared to the first night.

Now I was only there the first night and the videos might be slightly deceptive but, (please forgive me cos I'm a major Stevie fan!!!!) I don't think Stevie's voice sounds a good the second night.... I know Stand Back is practically near the end of the set but she sounds to be struggling in parts? Was this the case or I'm I wrong? - (kinda hoping I'm worng!!! lol) But I do think Stevie performs better when she has a nights rest in between concerts.

I was there both nights and Mama was struggling big time the second night (Sunday). It was so bad that she even had to change around the melody of "Landslide" . I was convinced that the next show in Manchester would be canceled, but apparently she pulled it off somehow. She was on fire at that Friday's show at Wembley though!

I'm so glad I went to the first night then and not the second cos if Im honest, since it was my first ever FM Concert, (cos i was too young to go to SYW tour!!) =( If I'd o seen Stevie really struggling I honestly woulda been heartbroken cos I'm more of a Stevie fan than a Lindsey fan; I thought she was pretty good on the first night thou. !!! - Just wish we'd have got something like the Gold Dust Woman sustained hold from the Dance as opposed to the repitition of "home". - But then again we have to realize they're all getting older!!! Plus that night we also got Silver Springs, - (in my opinion, best song lyrically ever written!!) so I was prayin 4 that one. Also should say I earned a total new found respect for Lindsey that night, - he was honestly on fire; total madman - never seen a guitarist like him!!! Went to the eagles a few months b4 and have to say they were far better than I expected so I wasn't quite sure if Fleetwood would live up to my high expectations but, bearing in mind we're not back in their "heyday" sotospeak, they defo did!!!! I got to see one of the greatest living song-writers, (Stevie = my hero) and a guitarist who has to be one of the best in the world, in what has to be one of the greatest bands of all time!!!!
Hence why Dublin had to be one of the best concerts they played in this tour!!!

(Rant over!!!) lol -

It was very, very good, but it wasn't the best IMHO. Of all the shows I saw, the first night at Wembley was the standout. But I think Dublin night 1 was probably in third or fourth place. But I must admit that the second Dublin show was definitely one for the Lindsey lovers- that was his shining moment of the tour, I think (well, that and the last show in NZ!).

Yeah, you can definitely here Stevie changing the melody around on some of those songs. Kind of disheartening. I love her!
