I've happen to stumble on to this story from TMZ website.
http://www.tmz.com/2007/05/20/stevie...-those-rags/5/ After reading this ,I almost toss my monitor out the window, After reading the wise comments ,but everyone has a right to have a opinion.

It's so sad to see Stevie get slated for how she looks, especially since when she was younger, that was one of her unique selling points. Still, I had to stop reading those comments, the negative ones were just uncalled for and made me feel bad.

I think that older women in general tend to get alot of slack for being old, i mean there's tonnes of criticism about stevies weight voice etc, yet older men get it easier, i mean look how fast lindsey buckingham's hair went grey from SYW to the Unleashed tour. Nobody bagged him out for that!
It's always the same... It's like tiger woods, he cheated on his wife with heaps of other women, if a woman had done that, or admitted to doing that she would have been cast out of society and labelled all number of things under the sun, but it's ok for tiger to do it because he's " a respected sportsman" he can just admit being a sex adict and everythings all peachy again ![]() I'm not even throwing the tambourine out of the pram i promise, this is just a general sweeping statement, not even cause i love stevie or am hurt when other people bag her out, especially for dumb stuff like that article did! Women just get the hard end of the stick, p.s. this is coming from a man... a feminist man ![]()

More and more it seems to be how women look, rather than how they sound, in the music industry, while men are scrutinized solely on their voices, it's sad.

It's especially sad when random losers on the internet bag out someone, they probably only know for like one song that she sang and then turn it into this whole insult about how she's had work and the rest of that garb. They just need to get lives, i really don't understand why people want to be so negative, if you live your life positively you will ultimately do yourself better... Finally, this is something from TMZ who obviously backflipped totally since about a month ago they were chasing stevie down with cameras saying what a legend she was, i hate TMZ!

A sweltering Stevie Nicks still managed to perform -- despite nearly being asphyxiated underneath a landslide of crushed velvet, leather and lace ! Stand back!! Stevie kicked off her summer tour in Concord, Calif. on Thursday, dressed like an intergalactic extra from "X-Men" meets a high priestess at an Alaskan seance. You see your gypsy! If the lavishly cocooned former Fleetwood Mac songstress doesn't want to collapse on tour, she'd better stop wearing everything in her closet at once! I actually think that's quite witty and giggled as I read it.There were a lot of postive comments but as far as the negative comments go, I'd consider the source. It's TMZ fans many of which worship the pop-trash D-list celebs of today. You can't hate them though, they're just ignorant. I like TMZ from time to time but I don't think in general it's Stevie's demographic. It used to make my blood boil when I'd read and heard negative things about Stevie - like I took it personally. But the truth of the matter is there are plenty of people I bag on that I'm sure others love. The world would be pretty boring if we all had the same opinions. |

Seriously though, what the HELL is that thing around her neck/on top of the stand back shawl?? It looks like a Dickie that she forgot to tuck in or a tiny little neck vest or something
