Yes! We are thinking about doing some shopping in NYC that day. Never know what I'll come up with.

I'm getting a feeling you might appear on Mr Blackwell's best dressed list!

Walked around Manhattan for nine hours today and now have blisters on my feet. This will impact my outfit.

Ok. I'm awake (I even already exercised and had breakfast).

1. I got there and the line to GET tickets was HUUUGE. Luckily I had mine.
2. I totally wore the wrong outfit--people kept thinking I worked there. And it was way too many layers cuz I was sweating like mad for jamming out to the fabulous concert!
3. I saw four cute guys, but none of them were interested in me. I blame the outfit
4. Finally someone talked to me. Some girl who was REALLY INTO IT with her friends who seemed fun (and we joined forces to shooh away some interlopers to our hard-won floor space). But when I asked her if she's on THE LEDGE, she looked offended and didn't talk to me after that. Never mention THE LEDGE I guess.

Unfortunately I don't know any of the performers names except for Jazmen!
PART 1
0. Sisters of the Moon - Seems to be a tradition as a virgin dance troupe or theatrical troupe puts together a number set to the night's theme song ("Sisters of the Moon"). I usually love this part for hope of scantily clad male dancers. Although the guys weren't as ... dancerish (if you know what i'm saying) ... this year was interesting as the dancers were gay male and female, thus expanding the meaning of "sisters."
1. Talk To Me - drag queen. lip synch. funny choreography.
2. Angel - female singer from England. She started pretty badly (not a sweet tone to her voice) but she pulled out the ending well enough. The guitarist with long dreads was outstanding on this and two other performances.
3. The Chain - My personal favorite of the night. A full band played. And they tore it up. Totally got me pumped.
4. Sorcerer - I'm trying to remember this performance. Shoot.
5. Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You - Male singer. He meant every word.
6. Gold Dust Woman - Excellent trade-off between two Stevie impersonators.
7. Planets of the Universe - Last year seemed to have more band and unique solo performances than this year (which seemed heavily toward Stevie Impersonator). This was a nice combo. I forget her name, but she's really good, starting the song out acoustic and then doing this crazy remix at the end. Seriously, Stevie should explore this arrangement.

PART 2
8. Stand Back - Pretty ingenious re-enactment/spoof of the Red Rock video. Really impressed. And of course the song is fun anyway. It was performed by the Hohos. I mean, they had people impersonating Mick, the male dancer, everything. It was hilarious.
9. Trouble In Shangri-La - I think there were some problems with the microphone around this point in the show. But the male singer was really intense. Interesting song. I've never given it proper attention.
10. Sara - I was afraid of someone doing "Sara" (it's a long song) but this was sung beautifully. What a great song.
11. Bella Donna - Brilliant drag performance. The performer dressed in blue against the backdrop of the album itself had a blue bird on her arm and mimicked the pose for a good portion of the song. Very lovely.
12. Leather and Lace - Last year somebody used a harp and I thought it was really cool, but this year it didn't quite work (though I suspect that's because of the sound problems). It was cacophony as the harp and the singers and everything was just too much. This singer I've seen all three years and I like her voice a lot, but she's memorable for being sooooo dramatical in her facial expressions. lol
13. Talk To Me - Hmmm... I don't remember this. There were two Talk To Me's? shoot...
14. Silver Springs - Very simple lipsynch, as if ushering the audience through a ritual experience. Beautiful.
15. Rhiannon - Wow. Awesome rendition that combined the slow piano opening and the crazy ending. Probably my third favorite of the evening.
16. Gypsy - Why don't I remember this? I think I was just kinda blissing out on the song itself. Hmmm... I believe it was actually sung too. Hmmm....
17. Sisters of the Moon - My second favorite and probably the BEST of the night. Jazmen Flowers TORE THIS SONG UP. Great arrangement. Great singing. Better than anything I saw on American Idol this year that's fo' sho! And she spoke in tongues.

PART 3
18. Nightbird - The aerialist who did a mesmerizing "Gypsy" this year was also impressive on "Nightbird." I hope this remains a staple of the NOTS experience. Too bad most people had left by Part 3.
19. Kind of Woman - Don't really remember it.
20. Dragging My Heart Around - I think I was tired at this point in the evening cuz I don't really remember this either. hmmm... When I don't remember that's not a comment on its quality.
21. Crystal - Drag queen sang with acoustic accompaniment. SOOO GOOOOOOD.
22. Rooms on Fire - Lipsynch drag, but cleverly recreated aspects of the video. This song is SO about Lindsey isn't it?
23. The Edge Battle - I went nuts as usual. The most cathartic moment of the year every year.

I love the Rock A Little album cover! I believe her hat was actually black netting and that hat and the coat belonged to the stylist that day and she has no idea where they're at today, but she does still have that skirt. She said it was one of the rare instances where all of the clothing was not hers. I was so lucky my question about the RAL cover was one of the few last pulled on the Nicksfix, back when she was still answering them.

What an absolutely wild night. I will write more later as I am still in New York; now on Long Island for the week-end.

Jazmen was AMAZING- best vocal of the evening- he looked stunning and sounded incredible. I left the minute he finished, though. I was DONE by that time. More later- some pictures, too.

Agreed, Jazzy WAS amazing and the standout. Sorry to have missed you. Most people left then anyway, the place really thinned out . My friends and I stayed until the battle and then left. I didn't really get a great costume so didn't go up there. We had an amazing time.

****, I saw you, I think! I kept telling the friend I was with that I thought I knew you but wasn't sure. Were you up on the balcony with a couple of your girlfriends?
