Zombie, Peter's passing was a huge shock to my family. My uncle has loved Type O for as long as I can remember. So they became important to all of us. He and his friends got together last week and played some of their songs for us, it was nice.

Yeah, I think it's hit a lot of people pretty hard, especially because he had been doing so much better the past couple of years and was working on new material and everything.

Type O has been a major part of my musical life since forever. I still remember the first time I popped the taped copy of Bloody Kisses my friend Ogre made for me into my little boombox. I sat on my bed and listened to it straight through 3 times before I could be bothered to get up and do anything else.

It's just a huge loss. Pete was a brilliant mess of a genius musically, and he was literally larger than life - I mean, dude played a double bass like it was a guitar. And that voice! Type O's sound in general was so unique, you could never hear them and mistake it for anything else.

He also had the best sense of humor of any musician I can think of. What other band but Type O Negative would name their greatest hits album "The Least Worst of"?

So tell your uncle I sincerely feel his pain. I'm wearing my TEAM PROZAC shirt even as we type.

All the same, baby. All the same.

My husband is a Type O fan. My stepson told me that he saw in a guitar magazine that Peter Steele had died. Of course, there has been more than one hoax over the years saying that Peter had died. I went to the Type O official website and saw it was true this time. So last Friday night I had to tell my husband that Peter was gone. He was so shocked. I was surprised that I didn't see the news online anywhere right away.

I think I know who you're talking about! I watched the live stream all the way from England

Haha, that's actually the only album I own because my uncle bought it for me years ago. However, World Coming Down is a personal favorite of mine.

The second installment of " Miranda's Mom's Outbursts":

My mother asked me to get her pocketbook from the car. I had NO IDEA where it was, because we just came back from the city and our car was a mess. After i failed to bring it back to her,i told her i couldn't find it. She responded with, "Sure, you don't know where My things are, but you know Stevie Nicks' underwear size!"

then i got thinking...oh my god, i don't! Anybody know what her underwear size is?!?! LOL

I'm going to say a 14.

I'm sorry, lady. My mom used to do the exact same thing when I was in high school. She and I didn't really have a great relationship, and I know she thought that I was using Stevie as a substitute mother. To be honest, it was partially true, and we both knew it.

Miranda, will you please go smoke a joint and give her something real to worry about 0_o Just let her get on with it and nod. Also, Stevie's underwear size is probably a whole lot more interesting than a mothers notebook

My husband came home from work today and told me they decided to cut his and another guy's hours to 31 hours a week (down from 40) just so they won't have to keep him on employee health insurance. They already hired 4 other guys from a temp agency, just so they could pay them less. Now there's only 2 full time employees (it's a small division of a bigger company). One of the full time guys has been ripping off the company for years. I have told my husband so many times that he needs to report this jerk. The good thing is that at least my son is on different insurance, so we won't have to find some other company and wait a year until they cover his cardiologist....JTIS

^^ Sorry to hear that Holidayroad.

I had a crazy dream last night. I was walking around some casino, or
some type of arena with Eric Clapton. Of course I had my guitar with
me. So today on a little trip I took, right before I reached my destination
guess who I heard on the radio?

First - so sorry to hear about your husband's job. I feel for you.

But he has excellent taste in music! Mainstream media isn't reporting it at all, which is a shame, but Blabbermouth had it pretty much right away. I remember the last hoax very well - when he was actually in jail, lol - but yeah. It just sucks all around.

It's a good intro to the band, for sure - plus it has "Stay Out of My Dreams" and "12 Black Rainbows," and those are great songs. You should get the album World Coming Down - it's excellent.
