Christine: "Well . . . this is an unusual REQUEST Stevie but . . .
SURE, you can have my autograph, why not!?"

Stevie: "Chris, I hate when you put make-up on me. I always end up looking like a witch."

She can paint my face red, in that case.

Those photos were taken by George Hurrell who was famed for his photos of classic movie stars.

Yup yup. I have a framed gelatin print of that photo, it's really stunning. Hurrell also did a great one of Chris and Stevie together, as well as the Mirage album cover and Lindsey's Law & Order album cover, if I remember rightly.

ETA: Haha, after I hit "post" and saw Georgie's sig pic directly above my post, I realized, "Hey, that's the Chris & Stevie pic I was talking about right there!"

Wow, stunning, both of them. I'm in a Mirage mood, right now.

A couple years back, I saw a Hurrell outtake of Stevie that showed her in a dark room wearing a black velvet dress with long sleeves. Anyone know which one I'm talking about? I lost it and hopefully someone out there has it.

Anyway...

"Why are you sweating so much, Stevie?"
"I don't sweat! I secrete unicorn piss!"

I remember a few people saying they hated those Hurrell pictures. Idgi. I think Chris and Stevie look gorgeous in those shots.

I agree! They're nice and different. I love 20's-ish glamour portraits
