As much as I dislike country, That's Alright is one of my top 5 FM songs of all time. I don't however favor any of Stevie's country-flared solo songs.

I agree with That's Alright, but I do love Too Far From Texas, it's more of a guilty pleasure though. All of Bella Donna may have a hint of country to it, but it's far from the country genre.

So im gathering that all the EXTREME INTENSE HATE from you is ACTUALLY coming out in full force towards country music. Because "Everybody loves you" is most definitely new. and most definitely not country. and weren't you one of the people that was against the cash cow rehash eagles tour? because THAT would have put off the recording of a NEW album also.

Me too.
I HATE country, I dislike Stevie's "countriest" (not I word I guess, but you get the point) songs, and I certainly don't like the idea of her doing a whole album.
I'm hoping Mick got it somehow wrong and this turns out to be that thing Stevie was working on with Michelle Branch sometime ago and she is still working with Dave Stewart on new songs (wether they turn into a complete new album or not).
the dave stewart thing and the tribute album are two separate things.

Hey, I have a right to my extreme intense hate just as much as some people have extreme intense love around here! I'm just upset because I feel Stevie is lollygagging and stringing us fans along. Yes, I count my lucky stars Stevie kept the Mac from a stadium tour with the Eagles. Thank GOD she finally did the right thing in regards to that! I detest country music, but that's not what I'm upset about either. Again, I just feel she's wasting valuable time by having anything to do with this whole country tribute to Rumours. How many more times to we have to have Rumours shoved down our throats as fans? Seriously? And the Dave Stewart thing is separate from the whole Country Rumours project. But I also have a sneaking suspicion Stevie's only contributing to Dave's solo album. I don't think we'll see a solely Stevie Nicks album come out of that collaboration. Again, more cause for me to be upset. I just want an album of new material out of Stevie, period. And I've waited NINE LONG YEARS for it. I have every right to be crabby!

I'm beginning to think this too, especially since she has time to help with the Rumours country thing. Either that, or a new solo album is not of a high priority.

With so much drama in the M-A-C...

You can't tell me that "Gin & Juice" is NOT on Mick's most played tracklist, what with his mind on his money and his money on his mind and all.

I'm just sayin.'

Now... if only Stevie could somehow, some way, keep comin' up with funky ass **** like every single day...

If they worked together for about a week, i'd say you might be right. But Dave just tweeted a few hours ago that he and Stevie resume work on Tuesday. They've been working together since February, and now it's almost May, so it's way more than just Stevie contributing to his album. I've said it before, Stevie needs Dave, Dave does not need Stevie.

The first few times I heard Illume I was left totally scratching my head, because I felt John's bass line was just way too hip hop/rap esque. Stevie's always said at her core, she's an R&B singer (something that's ALSO left me scratching my head! ). Ten years ago when she was working with Dallas Austin on Trouble In Shangri La, it seemed like a more R&B tinged Stevie was an imminent reality. And at the time, I really didn't have a problem with it. It would have been something NEW. Unlike another Rumours rehash...

*Blushes* Yeah, that's exactly why I am so wound up these days... I just want an album of all new material from our girl. I bitch and moan and go on these diatribes because I adore her and her music.
