Taking Dawn heavy metal cover of "The Chain"

[louielouie2000]

Definitely not heavy metal. Reminds me a lot of Nickelback, actually. The Mirage concert version of The Chain rocks just as hard in it's own way .

I always enjoy hearing Mac covers, but this one comes across as a bit unimaginative, and even amateurish. There are certainly aspects of it I like... but I felt they could have done so much more with this song. It just seems like certain aspects of this cover are carbon copies of the original... and the parts that aren't are simply substituted with screaming vocals and dumbed down thrashed guitar noises (the chorus is my main beef). I don't know, the whole thing seems like it was rushed through production without much thought put into it. I still enjoyed hearing it, nonetheless!
