Um, Conway is dead so I guess that means never...

And how much of Stevie's music has sold/charted on the country charts?

And last time I checked she was holding a tambourine, not a lasso.

Lindsey backed out of a theater tour in Fall '01 at the last moment that would have paired him with Mick (never did get confirmation whether John would have been on board too), so its definitely interesting that Lindsey seems to be open to the idea.

As for the corporate gig comment & rationalizing it with seemingly no new solo album on the horizon... is it possible that, like many of us, Lindsey got hit hard by the economy in late '08? The fact he signed off on the Unleashed tour (which severely stunted some major "farewell" tour potential- historically, Lindsey is the one who has the most astute eye towards/regarding the future, & the balancing/development of band-related projects) could mean that the days of Lindsey willfully losing millions of dollars on his extravagant, masturbatory solo treks could be over.

(if only the same thing could be said about Kristen's constant need for new houses to be bought/decorated to enhance her portfolio)

Really disheartening, isn't it? Well, maybe they figure if they started doing stuff without Stevie, it'd have a reverse psychology effect on her and she'd get a grip. In the end, she's acting like a spoiled child. She gets an absurd cut of FM's touring profits, and she basically holds these other 3 men's livelihoods in her hands. I know somebody else commented earlier in this thread that they disliked Mick's doing the band's laundry in public. Well, Stevie's done that since day one... and especially so this past decade. It's the "Men of Mac's" turn to swing back at her some in my opinion.

I think you're spot on with all that. Lindsey's portfolio likely took an enormous hit during this recession, all the while Kristin spends his money like it's going out of style. I've often thought that she was probably the reason the whole Unleashed tour happened: she probably had Lindsey by the balls demanding he make some money to pay for his solo tours and their extravagant lifestyle.

[QUOTE=celestenadia;886150]I SO hope a "country"Rumours NEVER sees the light of day.Now /QUOTE]

Me too.
I HATE country, I dislike Stevie's "countriest" (not I word I guess, but you get the point) songs, and I certainly don't like the idea of her doing a whole album.
I'm hoping Mick got it somehow wrong and this turns out to be that thing Stevie was working on with Michelle Branch sometime ago and she is still working with Dave Stewart on new songs (wether they turn into a complete new album or not).

Yeah, I detest country too... and always skip over Stevie's country tracks like After The Glitter Fades and That's Alright. I'd almost be open to an all new album of Stevie country material, though. At least it'd be forward motion, and not more Rumours retreading. It's just this whole refusal to do anything truly new that's got my panties in a sandy bunch these days.

Glen Campbell did a cover of After The Glitter Fades.also The late Waylon Jennings did a cover of Rhiannon.also if Darius Rucker and Jewel crossed over ,Stevie and Fleetwood Mac will be a hit.I rather see them or her go this route then try rap or hip hop.then I will be catching frisbee with the cd's with my buddies,and then frisbee it into the woods.I can't stand rap.

Patty Loveless did a greaat version of Silver Springs. The Dixie Chicks did a nice job with Landslide. I think the album will be good.
