Don't Let Me Down Again- Live 2004

Musicman408 · #1 04-19-2010, 08:48 AM

I really had no idea that they ever did this Buckingham Nicks song!!! How amazing?!?!

It sounds great. Made me realize how great it would be if they really switched their set list around- as I wouldn't mind some of the common songs being dropped for stuff like this!!

This was probably a blast from the past for them.

I'd love to see this song live. The version from the 1980 Live album is one of my fave tracks on there.

Wow, what a treat! Thanks so much for posting this Ethan -- even with the poor sound quality, you can still hear how good those harmonies sound.
There's hope yet for some surprises next time round

This is an awesome song. They were destined to be stars no matter what!!

I would have lost it if they played this song at a show I was at, especially if I hadn't expected it! One of my alltime faves. So brilliant.

Thanks for posting Ethan, this is so awesome and new to me! And in Madison too. asdfjejqcml.

Yay, one of the Madison clips where you can't see my big blonde head.

Too bad this didn't track didn't go over better (I did my part- yelling, singing along directly in front of L&S), but the whole of Madison went "whaaaaaaa?"

Dodfather · #8 04-20-2010, 08:09 AM

Was this in the setlist for the Say You Will tour? I had NO IDEA!!

Only for like...a couple dates. If that.

I don't remember the specifics.

That was cool. Thank you for posting! Never saw that before.

You're welcome all!!!

See, it's finding little gems like this that really make me fall for this band again. Just when you think you know everything- you find something new. This is why it would be so great for me to see a new album, because I have had since 2003 is rehashed material!!

Seriously though, they need to do a set list of stuff that isn't ALL commercial material. You can TELL that this song kicked ass live- no doubt about it!!

It was only played in Madison. They dropped it in Champaign the following night, and it was never played again.

That sucks that it was dropped....FM needs to have a 'real fans' tour. Where they can play all these great gems and know that the crowd will know them and sing along, and not worry about having to drop it......hehe wishful thinking...but what i'd give to hear "That's Alright" performed live!!!!

Well to me, it's really the difference in still being a current band versus a nostalgia band. The nostalgia band is only going to play the mass hits that everyone knows, whereas a band that is still current and willing to try new things will do lesser known material as well as newer material. I wish FM would stop seeing themselves as a nostalgia only band.
