I'm not holding my breath. Soundstage was coming out in 2008, but didn't make it out until 2009. And her book "The Wild Heart" was supposed to come out in the 80's (1985 I believe) and had an ISBN and everything, but never surfaced. If there is one thing I've learned when it comes to Stevie Nicks, it's don't get your hopes up on anything until it is in your hands.

Exactly. Stevie will always be working in some form or fashion. But never in a timely sense. She does what she wants to do, when she wants to do it. Everything always gets pushed back, postponed, and canceled. Nature of the beast. She's not done, she never will be. But you can never, ever rely on what she or her management says, either...

Exactly. I think it's sad that her method of working, and allowing announcements to come out that never lead to anything, have led to this feeling among her fans - it doesn;t reward them very well, does it? This is why I'm not hugely excited about the new album (?) until there's an actual official announcement, and even then...

Well to me, it's not that he confirmed a release date, but the fact that he clearly acknowledged that there is actually an album, and that it's Stevie's album, is what's most exciting. I remember last week when someone tweeted him:

@DaveStewart "hi Dave, any news on what Stevie's doing? When will your album be out? Did she record the New Orleans song yet?"

and everyone thought Dave was referring to his own solo album and coming to all of these conclusions. Well, we now know he was talking about Stevie's album, so Dave essentially confirmed twice that her album could very well be out sometime this year, and most importantly, it's her album.

but the question was regarding Dave's album, not Stevie's. And he said it could be out this year. He never said anywhere that it's NOT his album and indeed Stevie's. He was simply answering the question posted about HIS album. He only, in essence, confirmed once that she may be making an album when he was asked about when HER album was coming out.

No, actually, both questions were pertaining to Stevie's album. Dave is also making an album, but told someone in March that his album is no where near finished, so both responses were about Stevie's album that he is a part of. It would not be possible that he is referring to both his own and Stevie's album coming out this year if he's been so busy working with Stevie for the past two months.

The April 9th tweet you posted asks about his album, not Stevie's. I don't see how one can assume his answer is about Stevie's alleged album when he was asked about his. Maybe his album isn't anywhere near being finished but it's only April and it could possibly be done by the end of the year, couldn't it?
