Ok let me just start by saying, im super excited. However, as we left our current Stevie on the Unleashed Tour, her vocals were a bit shaky. I'm going to be pessimistic (sp?) and say that theres no way she would be able to get through Edge of Seventeen with the vocals she was producing at the end of the Unleashed tour.

This post was not meant to be negative at all. I just thought she sounded shaky. Let me just say I hope she tours this summer!!!!

Awesome!!! I've never seen Stevie solo, so this will be great. I do hope she does a few dates in the NJ/NY/PA area!

Yeah, her vocals from those New Zealand shows were especially painful to listen to. I'll chock it up to yearlong touring as a 60 year old woman who's been performing for 40 years.

I wish I could get excited at the thought of new Stevie shows, but I just can't . It's just going to be more rehashing of the same old setlist we've seen this past 10 years. Probably with an additional cover or two thrown in. I love Stevie to death, but I just can't find any reason to go see her until she has new material to wow me with, either Mac or solo.

Louie may be right about the setlist, but I have minor hope- I think there's some indication that she finally got 'all-Rhiannoned out, all Landslided out' on the Unleashed Tour, just as she had some 30 years earlier. She went right back to work, with Dave Stewart, and I think it's possible she may debut 2 new songs as a preview to the new solo cd I am stubbornly insisting will be released this year. On Interscope. But, whatever.
Somehow, I missed her performing 'Face The Promise' in person, and I have to admit that I liked it, and play it often, though a rocking original would be more awesome, I like what she did with the song. (Thank God for The Ledge and the Internet)- She also has said she toys with the idea of playing seldom-if ever heard tunes, like 'Sable On Blonde' and I have to admit that both the 'Enchanted' and 'TISL' tours both featured 5 and 6 new songs, so we could really find unexpected surprises with whatever shows she puts together this summer.
One thing I don't hold much hope for is that she might realize that a Stevie Nicks solo set should represent all of her solo albums and some rare or new songs, and really ditch the Fleetood Mac tunes for once in her solo life. At this stage especially, 'Rhiannon' and 'Landslide' and especially 'Dreams' and 'GDW' would have SO much more impact if she saved them for her next Fleetwood Mac tour. The audience would survive. But again, whatever.
I still think she has to do 'Love Is Like An itching In my Heart' again, one time just was not enough, and none of us, none of us, seem to have heard even a second of it. It very well could be her usual set list, but I expect a few surprises at this stage- She doesn't have a LOT of time left to surprise us! I just know I want to be there, and I feel a Mohegan Sun show must be a certainty, she plays there so often solo and with Mac, with Henley... I think something happened a year on the road with 'Unleashed' and songs that dated from the 70s to 1983. I think she knows there's a lot of songs she- finally- finally- wants to sing, and a new original or two.
But again, Louie darn well may be right, and it may be very much her usual show. Somehow, I think not, however. 'Enchanted' was awesome with the rarely-heard songs, and as someone pointed out, her first solo tour with 'Blue Lamp', 'Think About It' and so many others she hasn't done in ages... Maybe a year singing 'Rhiannon' and 'Gypsy' got her thinking about other songs she just has to sing, at least once! This summer could be it. I bet she does 'Everbody Loves You' too. She herself may not hang out, on The Internet, I mean, but things do get back to her, bigtime. Quickly. She stared down the front rows during the first night of the 'Enchatned' tour after a while, maybe five songs into the show, and said 'Hey! I changed my set!'
The "Say You Will' wardrobe became impressive soon after many of us here wrote rather-funny song parodies of her 'black cardigan' - a VERY funny thread. And it changed things, we soon saw colors and changes... I think she knows that her fans (who she sometimes even likes) are hungry to hear "the mad songwriters" brilliant songs that she hasn't performed for us, yet. and really rock out for us, while she still can

I'm really happy for all you guys that will be able to go!! Unfortunately though I won;t be able to afford a trip to the US until the first part of 2011. I'll be working full time from July and have to sort finances out before things like that - boo! If it was October onwards I might be able to swing it but...boo!

I'll keep you all posted though cos if I do get a ticket, after flights etc Imight need somewhere to crash!! lol.

I really have to see Stevie live - I've been a fan for sooooo long and never been able to because she hasn;t played anywhere in Europe for 20 years and hasn't played the US whien I've been there! Dunno about this series of gigs but if she plays anywhere in the future I WILL be there!!

Hmm, I don't really know what to think about this. If word gets to Stevie and she listens, then that means she will be releasing a new album, her book, finishing the rhiannon project, and bringing SOTM back out on stage! If she did any of these, I would be happy. I won't hold my breath. If this turns into another greatest hits tour, I will be disappointed. I want new, not Crystal Visions part 2. And it isn't so much that I don't want to hear the old songs rehashed again, because I do love them and have never seen her live, but its that I dont want her to spend time touring off of old work and killing herself physically when she could be creating new stuff and make the last 20 years of her career as successful and amazing as the first 30. I think Stevie has yet to write her best song and she has so much left in her, it would be sad for her to just let it all slide away because touring off of "Rhiannon" and "Dreams" is much more comfortable. That being said, I would still go see her if she came near.

I don't get the Bonnie Raitt thing. She is really not a writer. Most of her hits were written by other people. That Nick of Time album was way overrated.

I wish she spend 2010 on writing and recording instead of randomly touring.
