I think a lot about songs that Lindsey has that should have been released. I'm not saying that what was released were all bad choices, but other songs could have done well also. So, list what songs you think should have been singles. (solo LB)
I Want You Loving Cup You Do Or You Don't Doing What I Can Surrender the Rain Cast Away Dreams Down On Rodeo The Right Place To Fade I was really surprised when the last two weren't singles.

I'm also gonna say: Bel Air Rain - that song is so totally beautiful and it's my favorite off the album. It was pretty hard to pick some...holidayroad i think you pretty much got 'em all!

So was I! They're such obvious singles. A real missed opportunity...

In most cases, singles are chosen by the record company, not the artist.

FWIW, "Down On Rodeo" was earmarked as a potential single (note the sticker that was affixed to each CD: "Featuring 'Show You How' and 'Down on Rodeo'"). The fact it wasn't released as such... well, Lindsey barely performed the song on that tour, that could be a big hint.

Well, Miranda is my favorite song of his on that album for me, so I guess I want it as a single because it would have sold Say You Will to me. I might not have considered its mass commercial appeal. Michele

However, I think "Whats the World Coming to" would have been the most successful single of the album. It is very radio-friendly, catchy (very Fleetwood Mac-ish, you can tell its them), and it represented the country's status at the time with the war and all. |

Um, maybe with a re-recorded lead vocal where Lindsey manages to stay in key and doesn't bray in the outro. I personally know a handful of casual fans who couldn't get past the first song on that album mainly because of how abrasive Lindsey's vocal is.
