Stevie rehabbed off that tranquilizer well before her 1994 tour. That's why we all love that tour. Please pay attention!!

The Street Angel Tour remains one of my best Stevie experiences ever!

The Dallas and Houston shows were incredible, Stevie was singing so strongly and passionately ~ no Klonopin there!!!

I think Stevie's performance at the MixFest concert in Boston in October 1996 is incredible. The purple outfit is not my favourite, but her singing and energy are fantastic!

What purple outfit? I was at this show in Boston and she wore black for the entire show with the addition of the GDW gold shawl (for Rhiannon too) and a white lacey overlay for HAEWAFY. I don't remember any purple outfit. She wore a black "OSOTM" type robe for Stand Back... maybe it looks purple-ish in a bad video, but it was a black satin robe in person.

Yeah, I have 3 different videos of the show, all first generation, and they all look purple.

Maybe I see colours no one else sees.

"We can see the dreams before they see us..."

?? No?

I have great quality videos of the Boston show too. The cape appears purple to me too.

It was definitely black. Shimmery, but black. I was at the show front and center and loved the outfit. That day was one of my most favorite Stevie moments because she seemed truly happy and thrilled to be on stage for the first time in a real long time. I remember saying, "Stevie is back!"

There was also speculation before the show that she was going to sing Freefallin' This goes back quite a bit and I haven't watched the video in ages, but my recollection is that after I Need To Know, she was having trouble catching her breath and actually says, "I can't breathe" and walks off the stage. I might not be remembering it right, but it seemed like the band was ready for another song when she left the stage before coming out for HAEWAFY.

Really? This blows me away. I was under the impression that the rehab was after the SA tour. What were the actual dates that she was in rehab then?

In every video I've ever seen of that concert above, that cape looks like some black velvet/satin to me.

Stevie's detox & rehab for Klonopin addiction started in Late 1993. October?

So that's post-album recording and pre-tour?

Mostly, yes. Street Angel was turned in to Atlantic as a finished product in February 1993. "Unconditional Love" was to be the first single when the album was slated for release in September 1993. But it got pushed back, and then Stevie decided to kick the tranquilizer addiction in Late 1993.

But in Early 1994, after completing the Klonopin rehab, Stevie tried to "fix" Street Angel. She re-recorded "Jane" and "Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind" ~ completely new versions with Roy Bittan producing.

Plus, production changes in mixing, overdubs, added instruments and more stuff.

The album was released last week of May 1994 and the tour started in July 1994.
