That's true, but with some exception. I'm 14 years younger than Stevie Nicks and there are times when my hands look quite old. But slap on some neutrogena hand cream and my hands look twenty years younger. Of course, in your sixties your hands aren't going to look young again. But dry hands and a bit of bloat can go a long way toward explaining the difference in the photos in this thread. Lighting can also make wrinkles in a photo seem more prominent.

Why assume that she MADE him take the tranqs. We are, after all, talking about a microcosm of people that have consumed an awful lot of drugs in their day. Popping a pill to see what effect it might have probably wouldn't seem like that big a deal to them. I'm a seventies child that never did drugs, but I knew many, many people who did. And I'm pretty sure I know a few who would have thought nothing of popping a klonopin back in the day just to see what would happen.

Also, even though this probably happened some time in the early nineties, it was still well before the internet gave us access to information about virtually any drug. I worked in the health field at the time, and all I could get my hands on was a year old PDR (Physician's Desk Reference.) I actually looked up klonopin in that old PDR when I first heard Stevie Nicks was on it (I worked for a doctor that she went to a couple of times) and it wasn't even in the book yet. The doctor I worked for didn't even really know anything about it. So perhaps Stevie Nicks and her assistant (whom I'm pretty sure she is still friends with) felt that the only way they could gather more information about the drug was by having someone else take it. And he was idiotic enough to volunteer. (He did take only a small dose, didn't he?)

'I said, it won't kill you, because it hasn't killed me, but I just want to see what you think. Because Glenn was terribly worried about me - everybody was. So I was taking two in the morning, two in the afternoon and two more at night. At that point if I could find a Percoset, because I'm so miserable, I'd take that, or I'd take a Fiorocet - anything.

'So Glenn proceeds to take all my medicine. He was setting up a stereo in the living-room. Well, after half an hour he was just sitting there. And he said, "I can't fix the stereo and I don't think I can drive home." And I said, "Well, good - just stay there, because I'm studying you." And he was almost hallucinating. It was bad. And I called up my psychiatrist, and I said, "I gave Glenn every-thing you've prescribed for me." And the first words out of his mouth were, "Are you trying to kill him?" And the next words out of my mouth were, "Are you trying to kill me?" '

I do get your point that she wasn't like TAKE THIS ****ING KLONOPIN OR I AM FIRING YOU! But I don't think he was like "Oh hey, i can has Klonopin?" I think Stevie wanted him to take it and there was some persuasion on her part.

Percocet is nuts. I was on it after wisdom teeth surgery last year and i'm always a bit crazy but that made me ten times worse. Acid trip dreams & you act all around spazzy. Definitely a weird feeling, and I can't imagine how a combo of those made him feel as well as Stevie. SO glad she got out of that mess.

I totally know what you mean. I'm 35, but my hands get so dry in the winter that you would think I was 70 if you saw only them. After lotion or moisturizer, they look So much better.

LOL! I was showing that her hands looked about the same a few years ago, since that became a big topic...
