I work in marketing, so I tend to pay more attention to commercials than I am sure most people do. Most ads are complete crap, but from time to time, there are shining gems out there that just rock.
Case in point being the craze over the Old Spice "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" commercial that ran during the Super Bowl. I was reminded of it when I went to see The Crazies the other night and they played it before the previews. Got me to thinking about other commercials that have cracked me up completely in the past. I think one of my all-time favorite commercials in the history of ever is this Viva Pinata commercial: The version that ended up on TV was much shorter, for obvious reasons, but I wish they had kept in the Conan reference when they aired it. Old Spice has had a number of other great ones over the recent past, like Bruce Campbell singing "Hungry Like the Wolf" (Ahoy!): and Neil Patrick Harris: I also enjoy the old Wendy's "Ranch Tooth" commercials, particularly this one: And the "What the French, toast?!" Orbit gum commercial: Also, Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator totally counts, since you can actually buy it now: And we wouldn't have Brawndo if we didn't first have Powerthirst (which you cannot actually buy, I don't think, but whatever, LOL FOREVER no matter how many times I watch these): and the second one (Manana! Fizz Bitch! GUN!): Oh man, those Powerthirst commercials never get old. TOP SCORE! Got any funny commercials for me?

This is the most memorable ad I've watched - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj-z-...rom=PL&index=4. To think it was from five years ago!
Time flies...(Btw thanks for inadvertently inspiring me to find it! )

Haha, thanks for the videos, guys. Commercials can be so awesome when whoever is making them actually tries.
Quote:
There was another one, too, that I remember seeing on TV, but I can't find a clip of it anywhere, where Horstachio shouts, "PROBLEM SOLVING, CHILDREN!" before scooting off across the lawn. I still say that to my kids, lol, when they whine and can't figure something out until they suddenly DO figure it out 5 seconds later - "PROBLEM SOLVING, CHILDREN!" ETA: Just realized the long version doesn't do the same funny at the end that the short one does, cos I watched it again, so here's the short one anyway:
