Has anyone else noticed the strong similarity between this song and FM's 'Never Going Back Again'?

It might have been discussed on here before, but yeah I just noticed. Has anyone else noticed or is this a really well known fact like general knowledge? Ha ha.

But, it's actually almost identical to Eyes of the World

Oh my goodness. I don't know when I listen on my own, but sometimes I can hear Chili in my head saying that Stephanie, EOTW and Bang the Drum all have the same riff.

It's the Pachelbel-based segment. It seems to have been to Lindsey what the Eroica theme was to Beethoven (who used it in the Third Symphony, the Eroica Variations for piano, the "Creatures of Prometheus," & one of the Contredanses).

Christine McVie figures into the story, slightly. She wrote--& performed--a harmony part for the main theme, & played it on her Yamaha CP30 on the Mirage tour performances of "Eyes of the World."

I'll upload some audio clips from my piano shortly which individually indicate the main theme & the harmony part.

Ok...you beat me to the punch....I was just dropping in to redundantly reiterate that very point.

(didn't realize I'd actually had that much influence around here...thought I was just "the crusty old fart/Rumours-era basher" that everybody just groans at when I start pontificating. )

The only time I ever heard similarities myself was at Soundstage when Lindsey was playing an extended solo for Murrow, it sounded just like ISA to me. Then, he confirmed this by saying, "I'm stealing from myself."

You don't hear the solo at the end of "Tango In The Night" being similar to ISA & "Murrow", too??

Maybe it's the different tempo, but I don't hear it, but I remember that you've pointed it out.
