I got a webcam and was all set... within a day it broke. I stupidly bought it on holiday as well so I couldn't return it. Fool! I'll get another one soon...

Definitely. One thing I have always wanted was the ability to be able to "hear" an American accent from the point of a Brit, or Australian, etc. Maybe I'm just weird.

Me too! Whenever I read any British or Australian publications, they always describe the American accent as a drawl. However, the only Americans which have drawls in my opinion are Southerners.

Another interesting thing to me is that British and Australian singers lose their accents and sound American when they sing. Makes me wonder if the English are muddling their own language. You ever hear a Brit say aluminum?

So how is your drawl Louie? is yours more Texas or North Carolina?

I've been on youtube the last hour trying to figure the answer to that question out!

I've always lived in urban areas, so my accent isn't as heavy as most rural Carolinians or Texans. JohnnyStew on here once told me my accent was on the edges of my words and sentences. I've always spoken properly too, so I don't use words like "ain't" and other such garbage. Maybe if I figure out how to use iMovie I'll post a video of myself, so I can see just what I sound like.
