Act prefers theaters, Live Nation won't budge off sheds. Won't happen.

Ive heard alot of rumors about a Gordon Lightfoot/Fifty Cent double bill as well. Man I think that would be a kickass show!

So is it now a common practice that radio stations get fed lines by concert/music promoters to generate hype and interest, which they then gauge to see if said hyped concert is worth it?

Sorry to repeat the obvious, but this is damned obnoxious of Azoff/et al.

Looks like the Eagles are doing the stadium tour with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks instead of Fleetwood Mac. Poor substitutes, if you ask me, but a far clearer hierarchy of acts. It's been posted on Joe Walsh's official site so it's for real this time.

^^
That's interesting. Going completely country. Won't that be a really long show with three acts? The Eagles are a pretty long show as it is.

Not sure if this is necessarily a stadium-sized billing. But at least ticket prices are comparable to a regular Eagles show- $50-$225 for the June 10 show at Meadowlands Stadium. So this might not be such a bad billing... BUT... this is a Thursday show. Exactly how long is this hootenanny gonna last on a weekday/weeknight?

For $50-$225, I think an FM/Eagles double bill would have been a sure sellout. Not sure about this one though...

I've never seen Keith Urban, but the Dixie Chicks put on a mighty fine show and are musicians, which is something I think gets lost in the shuffle. I don't care for them personality wise, because they would employ the same tactics against those who disagree with them that they themselves were victims of -- that hypocrisy really gets to me. But I think they are great performers and I would have loved to see Lindsey on a Crossroads type show with them.

I wouldn't mind going to see The Eagles but I wouldn't go to Gillette Stadium if you paid me. I don't really care for The Dixie Chicks or Keith Urban either.
Seems kind of odd that the FM stadium double bill wasn't a go because of baby boomers not wanting to go to stadium concerts. Smells like a load of BS to me.

I agree, but I don't recall/remember where that was offered as the reason why it wasn't a go......?

These dates will do great, by the way. Probably better than if it was Fleetwood Mac (tickets would have been more expensive)

I'll see if I can find the article. If I pull up one of the first 5 rows I might go but I would never sit in an upper level seat. That venue scares me just looking at it.

I like the Chicks SO MUCH, I might actually buy a ticket. They are the ONLY female country artists I listen to.

I thought Natalie was "on a break" and Emily and Martie were doing a solo gig now...
