Oh dear. Could it be that, in fact, all of this rumour-mongering is our fault? I would hope that Pause and Play takes more than our board's word for it that something is going on!

I do hope there's a new album coming, but yeah, I'd buy the reworked ITM. Hell, I'd buy "Christine McVie reads her utility bills aloud".

There's already a great deal of support for "Christine Reads the Telephone Directory" - perhaps the Utility Bills could be bonus tracks?

Better still: Christine McVie reads Mick Fleetwood's utility bills aloud...

Why? The discussion has been very good.

It's a whole lot better than no discussion at all on this board, which has sometimes been the case.

Everyone seemed to benefit--at least on the records--from this new configuration: Stevie and Lindsey had more space to stretch and experiment, not always successfully; and Christine had a chance to prove to the world--and herself--that an entire record of her songs could be as exciting and rewarding as any MAC blockbuster of yore.

Think of the great songs that probably never would have made it to record had the band continued with the Rumors lineup: "Everybody Finds Out"; "Murrow"; "Bad Journey," "Forgiveness," and "Calumny."
I am late in reading this thread, but wanted to say this is a great post. I was sad at Christine leaving, but everything happens for a reason and great songs were created.

Sorry for bumping the old wrong rumour, but I hope maybe if we speak out, people from record companies are going to notice that there is demand again for a new Christine McVie solo album.
What do you think?

The sales were pretty dismal for the last one, so good luck with that.

What she needs to do, is RECORD another album with FM!

Well yes that would be good

If they all wanted to do it they'd find a way but I doubt the will is there for that.

People, remember.....Christine is pushing 70!! She's earned the right to just relax and enjoy the rest of her life!
Would I like to see a new solo album or some work with FM? Of course.....but it ain't gonna happen!!

EXACTLY! She was ready to call it quits almost 20 years ago. We got WAY more out of Christine than even she expected.

Enjoy what she did, accept that it's all you're gonna get, and maybe listen to other music (there's a whole world of it out there) instead of wishing she'd release another project.

What needs to happen is for the re-release of her concert and the laserdisc documentary on DVD.
