Any Mac fans also Iris Dement fans?
I often say that Iris Dement is the greatest thing to hit music since Son of Bazerk in 1991 (which certainly speaks not only to my taste, but also my eclectic taste).
Anyway, I've attended 3 Iris Dement concerts. Each one features more new material and/or new "covers" (fleetwood mac, take note). Here are some of those "new" songs that have appeared on YouTube. I am a big fan - and yet I didn't know about new songs - so thank you very much!!!
I have seen her several times, but I have also purchased tickets twice for shows and then have had to sell them because I was sick.

I have seen Iris twice in concert. I love her unusual voice and unique writing style. I'm a big fan of her My Life album. Some of my favorite songs are "Wasteland of the Free," "No Time to Cry," "Easy's Gettin Hard Everyday," and her version of "God May Forgive You But I Don't."

I love Iris Dement!
I first heard her on a duet with John Prine - "In spite of Ourselves" - a delightful tongue in cheek romp. Then I heard her with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band singing "Mama's Opry". When I looked for her music, I found "Our Town" - I was hooked. What a wonderfully quirky voice. Raw emotion and great lyrics. What's not to like?
