Yeah, very classy. He told the US media that it's a different scoring system, that if it were the old way he probably would have won instead, that it is what it is. He told the Russian media that they shouldn't give gold to anyone who doesn't land a quad in their routine & that he was ripped off.

Did you see ice dancing last night? Loved loved loved the US team's Indian dance routine! The Canadians who are now in first were wonderful as well.

I was not enthralled with Belbin & Augusto (they did alright, but their music/routine didn't do much for me.) Same with the Russians & their controversial aboriginal thing. Yawn.

Ha. You are funny. And that game was awesome. Soooo proud of our Buffalo Sabre Ryan Miller.

I missed the other American team's Indian routine, unfortunately. I saw the others, and although Belbin/Augusto's music choice was poor, it was certainly better than the Russian Aboriginal travesty. And of course the Russian team is still in third. I think the judges don't want to see North America sweep the ice dance medals. I liked the Canadian pair's dance the best of what I saw. They earned the top spot.

^ Missed last night. Got way too tired. Will have to look for vid today.

Here's Davis & White's Indian routine. This is NOT the Vancouver performance though - I am still trying to find that one. Not having much luck; the olympic committee or NBC probably block it from being posted?

Very happy for the Canadian ice dancing pair. Their program was gorgeous. White and Davis also did well and am happy they took the silver. It wasn't that long ago when American ice dancers weren't really medal contenders.

The Russian team basically cheated, i.e. used their costumes to help with lifts and transitions and still got a medal over Belbin and Augusto. Sigh. Anyway the Canadians did a wonderful job.

Go USA hockey! Go Ryan Miller!

Ladies figure skating final tonight.

Did you all hear about the speeedskater being disqualified because he changed lanes when his coach told him too, but it was too soon? Lost the gold. it's a shame, but he does have 1 medal already. Also, I've heard he's a dick, so maybe it's a bit of karma.

Just heard that he probably won't since he wasn't Top 5 & that's who is usually picked to skate in the exhibition skate.

did anyone see the video on the TODAY show of kevin pearce an american snowboarder who suffered a horrific head injury before the olympics?~ i guess he & shaun white are friendly rivals & jay had beaten shaun twice in 2009 during competition~ they were both touted as he best in the world & like shaun everyone thought kevin was a shoe in for this years olympic team~

very sad~
