That accident is soooo tragic. Like Alexa said, a lot of these sports just sem sooooo dangerous, and there seems to be a high likelihood of serious damage if you make a mistake.

Yeah, I thought that was awesome!

I looked up the lyrics afterward, if you read them closely they're shockingly good! . . . .
At least, they certainly are, i.m.o.!

"Shockingly" good? It's a classic!

Crazy finals for short-track speed skating just now. Koreans were set to sweep the podium and two crashed into each other on the last lap, getting USA silver and bronze (Ohno and Celski respectively). Love that sport!

Canada and the US are the best of friends. Of all the world's countries, I think Canada and the US are the closest. We speak the same language, have teams in the same sports league, are huge trading partners, virtually open borders. When there is a war to be fought, Canada and the US are side by side. (except for Viet Nam). If there was ever an attack of Canada, the US would be the first to come to aid, and I believe vice versa.

That was amazing.

Anyone else disturbed by the news stations replaying the luge accident repeatedly over the weekend? I have been able to catch myself & look away in time (I have no interest in seeing someone die violently.) But does anyone really need to see that on a national news broadcast? And shouldn't they at least give a warning?

I just contemplated staying home from class to watch the Olympics. Wth.

I'm usually not so interested in the winter games, but for whatever reason I'm hooked.

I'm really nervous for Lindsey Vonn...

I love love love watching figure skating. Always have. But since when can you FALL & still medal? It's pretty ridiculous. Although I believe only the gold medal Chinese team were the only team that didn't fall at all, so I guess someone has to medal right? I know the moves get tougher & tougher, but good god this is the OLYMPICS!

I was pretty underwhelmed by all the other teams. The men's singles usually bore me. Looking forward to the ladies & ice dancing.

Not a fan of having to watch everything on primetime time-delayed.
I always see the headlines on the internet and they spoil it for me.

It seems like for the Beijing Olympics lots of the sports were real time! I guess it's just the location/time zone.

Is it me, or is Johnny Weir totally overrated. I think he may have won a U.S Championship and has medaled at worlds, so its not like Im saying the guy sucks, but he is apparently out of contention for a medal for these games. It just seems that when it comes to these really bigtime events he cant live up to the hype.
