I mean, it's "choppy' in the same way as "Not Make Believe" on the second SYW disc; Stevie's demo was melodic, but Lindsey made the song "choppy"!)

I always thought the other single they released from this album, "Love Will Show Us How", was a far better song than "Got A Hold On Me".
Hmmm.. No I've always loved the ambiance of this song.. the keys, the toe tapping rhythm, her perfect tempo..

I wish we had gotten Gotta Hold On Me in a Fleetwood Mac concert, to go along with Stand Back and Go Insane.

Agree. It wasn't fair that Christine's solo material was ignored.

Of course, they DID play "Get Like You Used to Be" when S/L first joined the band. But that wasn't intended to promote a record ... just to entertain.

I wish we'd gotten Smile I Live For! That'd been dark and interesting.

Isn't there a tape of a Christine solo show from 1984 that includes this song?

I'm overcome with apathy....

I've been working on having a real life, and I've been lazy with some of this stuff.

I'm working tonight, but should be off early. I'll try to make it my project when I get home.
