Default Michelle Branch - Producer: Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac Tribute Album.

"Over the last few hours, Michelle Branch has been dropping hints as to what she's been up to. A few photos surfaced - one of which was the lyrics to "Say You Love Me" by Fleetwood Mac"

"Now... According to Michelle Branch's twitter page, she's in the studio singing "Say You Love Me" for a Fleetwood Mac Tribute album.... And the cool thing is Stevie Nicks is producing the track for her."

Sounds a bit exciting to me !

Sounds exciting to me too! I love Michelle but I wish she'd hurry up and get that 3rd solo record, Everything Comes and Goes, out already! It's been delayed over and over again...

By the way, I recently read a thread on here that mentioned some of the younger fenmale artists that Stevie has kind of mentored over the years (Sherl Crow, Vanessa Carlton etc) and Michelle was in that list. Now I really am Michelle fan but I don't know of her working with Stevie at all. Has something great passed me by?!?

I think it has been mostly a mutual admiration society up to this point... Michelle B. should have told Stevie to stop wasting time producing this track so that she could focus on new material instead.

I heart <3 Michele Branch. Remember that first album? She was a cool, rocking chick, very pleasant to the ear. John Shanks produced that first one.

I remember these pics, but I cannot remember Stevie and Michelle actually doing anything before.... Was this just a random Stevie/Michelle photoshoot on the beach one day or wtf?

Michelle was teaching Stevie how to ride an ATV on the beach and some young, skinny people took these pics of them while they were taking a marijuana break. Oh and that's Christine McVie crouching on the ground behind Michelle.

This is an excerpt from an article on Michelle Branch:

Recordnet, July 8, 2010
http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.d...e+Headlines%29

She recorded a duet ("I Lose My Heart") with Stockton-born Chris Isaak for his "Mr. Lucky" album (2009), and fulfilled a dream by working with Stevie Nicks, a Phoenix native whom Branch idolized while growing up.

"I've known Chris for, gosh, maybe eight or nine years," said Branch, who shares a management company (HK) with Isaak, 54 and Nicks, 62. "We're friends. He knows I'm obsessed with the Everlys and was looking for an Everly-type sound."

Branch was asked to sing on a Fleetwood Mac tribute album being recorded by Nashville artists.

"Stevie said she wanted Michelle to sing 'Say You Love Me' and wanted to produce it," said Branch, still sounding astonished. "There I am singing Christine's (McVie) part with Stevie producing. I'm going, 'Oh, my god, this is not happening to me.' "

So, if Michelle only sang Christine's part, does that suggest that Stevie sang her own part on the song? Interesting.

Michele

I thought it was going to be a country Rumours album, not a country Mac tribute album. hmmmm... even less intriguing than before, but the variety could be interesting, especially if curated by producer Nicks.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
