Since the end of January, I have been listening to the january 70 to 2 11 70 (two days from now)Fleetwood Mac/Greatful Dead concerts in the United States on the end of that tour and I was reminded that this was 40 years ago that This incarnation of Fleetwood Mac was going out in a blaze of glory enroute back to europe

Right, Vinnie! 40 years ago this past weekend was the band's series of shows at the Tea Party club in Boston, which yielded all those great recordings. Looks like they played two more shows in the US (on the 13th & 15th) before heading back to Europe.

Jeremy - in case you're looking in on this discussion, I have a question. I read in Dinky Dawson's book that Peter Green did not fly back to Europe with the band after their US shows and stayed behind for at least a few days (maybe wanting to leave the band then?). I have not seen this assertion anywhere else. I know you have issues with Dawson's account of those days, and some other things I've read makes me wonder whether this actually happened. Do you recall Peter staying behind in the US after you'd finished your tour there in February 1970?

...of whether or not he stayed behind in the U.S. back then.

Thanks for your recollection, Jeremy. Guess that will remain a mystery for now.

I do hope you have some fond memories of that tour - there were certainly some fine performances from you and the rest of the band that were recorded back then.
