Exclamation Well...

at least this seller was honest about the use of the fanclub to purchase the tickets...But I never was surprised at all to see the fanclub used for this manner of selling the tix, Brian J.

ebay
There's more than one way to read that ebay sale. It might be tickets that a fan club member no longer wants, perhaps for a variety of reasons: 1- angry at the whole Fleetwood Mac fan club affair 2- They got better seats through a broker 3- No longer able to attend the show 4- probably may other possibilities.

The person is stating they are from the fan club. My guess would be they are a fan club member, not necessarily a "scalper." I would think a fan club member would sell them at face value though, considering what others have gone through. On the other hand, if they are purchasing through a broker now, maybe they are trying to cut their losses. Some states "allow" scalping, apparently.

True, but check out their feedback, they sell a lot of concert tickets...Widespread Panic in Chicago, Pearl Jam in Buffalo or some sh*t like that...

I'm just frustrated that I can't enjoy shopping on ebay when 99% of the listings are now all for tickets.

Yep, I see what you mean by a trend on the seller's part. Just what are the definitions of:

a. ticket broker
b. scalper
c. "entrepreneur"

It's just more salt in the wound. I know what you mean. As fan club members are allowed to buy 20 tickets per leg, anyone could join and sell 40 tickets. At a few hundred dollars a pop, that's some serious money. It's really a tragedy how this all panned out. I also understand some fan club members had their "secret" pass word stolen and found no tickets, after paying their $60 membership fee.

But of course there are all the other tangible benefits of becoming a member. Let's see . . . oh! The PR stuff that should have been done ANYHOW to promote the album.

There is very little tangible evidence to prove I am a fan club member. Well, yeah, that notation on my credit card bill.

No membership "card," no pictures, no freebee cd, NADA.

Yes, I do understand your frustration. I at least thought the ticket thing would be "GREAT."

Okay, 'nuff from me.

I addressed this issue on Mick's board BEFORE the first pre-sale and was ignored. Guess they figured I'm no "expert," I've never run a fan club pre-sale, nor do I know jack-sh*t about securing web pages, etc., what the heck do I know?

I hear you. I saw several posts to that effect. They were ignored. And deleted after the fact. It's kind of hard to show what happened, isn't it. (It's like they shredded all the evidence, buried all the bodies, or something)

Check your PMs.

Well I'm just surprised to see that even a scalper got that good a seat through using a presale. I was beginning to think the presale wasn't even selling the seats they said they had. Personally, I plan to go to every person sitting in the best 20% and ask exactly where or how they got their tickets and hopefully the red glare from my eyes will scare them into telling the truth before I return to my sh*tty seat.
