There's nothing new in this article... but it just puts this whole Stevie performance thing into some context:

Music artists have started touching down in Los Angeles, as the countdown begins for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. On Sunday (January 31st), the Recording Academy will host what's billed as "Music's Biggest Night" at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Grammys will broadcast live starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
Beyonce leads the pack this year with ten nominations. Country star Taylor Swift is up for eight, while the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Kanye West have six nods apiece. DJ David Guetta, Jay-Z, and Lady Gaga have five nominations each; and Colbie Caillat, Michael Giacchino, Kings Of Leon, John Newton, producer RedOne, Bruce Springsteen, T-Pain, and Keith Urban each have four nominations.
Performers will include all five Album of the Year nominees -- Beyonce, the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band and Swift, as well as Bon Jovi, Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Stevie Nicks, Maxwell, Pink and the Zac Brown Band.
The show will also feature a 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson featuring Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood and Usher. Special 3-D glasses for the Jackson performance will be available at Target stores through Sunday.
Presenters will include: Stephen Colbert, Alice Cooper, Sheryl Crow, Wyclef Jean, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Seal, Quentin Tarantino, Placido Domingo, Juanes, Glee actress Lea Michelle, Lionel Richie, Keith Urban, Simon Baker, Ryan Seacrest, Chris O'Donnell, Robert Downey Jr., Kaley Cuoco, Kristen Bell, Justin Bieber, Jeff Bridges, Miley Cyrus, Josh Duhamel, the Jonas Brothers, Mick Fleetwood, Norah Jones, Ke$ha, LL Cool J, Ricky Martin, Carlos Santana and Ringo Starr.
Mary J. Blige will sing a duet with tenor Andrea Bocelli on Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" -- as part of a fundraiser for Haiti earthquake relief.
Eminem, Drake, Lil Wayne and Travis Barker will team up for a special performance of Drake's single, "Forever."
Jamie Foxx will do a special segment with T-Pain, Slash and Doug E. Fresh.
According to the New York Post, Lady Gaga will do a duet with Elton John.
The circus-themed Grammy Celebration after-party will feature performances from Ne-Yo, Sam Moore and mixtape DJ Mick Boogie.

So she's not part of the MJ tribute. She's not part of the Haiti segment. She's not part of the Jamie Foxx segment. She's not part of the Elton/Gaga segment. Basically she's doing the same thing as:
-Lady Antebellum: whose new album is about to debute at #1 on the Hot 100.
-Green Day: who received nominations for the single "21 Guns."
-Maxwell: who was nominated for a ****load of Grammy's for his 2009 album.
-Pink: who has a couple of nominations for her Funhouse album
-Zac Brown Band: who was nominated for a ****load of Grammy's as well.
-Bon Jovi: who recently released a new album.
...and then there is...
-Stevie Nicks: nothing new to promote, no nominations.
This is truly puzzling. It's not like the Grammy's are going begging for performers; I am sure there are tons of artists who would kill for a performing slot and all of that exposure. The fact that Waddy will be there too means that she is not likely to be performing with another band. So by process of elimination, she is either doing a solo song, or she's doing something with Beyowulf, Taylor Swift, Pink or Maxwell.
The suspense is killing me!
