Good point. I would like to know what her response would be if she was ever asked point blank how she felt about his lyrics, and if she found it hard to be objective. She did say in the interview that "words" (and titles) weren't that important to Lindsey, hence why she suggested "Stephanie" as the title.

He's even said the same thing himself when he was asked what the meaning of "faces of glass" was, since he used that line in several songs. He just kinda shrugged, didn't realize he'd used the term several times, and said his songs weren't based around lyrics... and that they were almost an afterthought.

Yeah, I remember that. And, I'm sure in a general way it's true but I totally think he was full of it when he said he didn't realize he'd used that phrase more than once. In fact, because he used it more than once, made it seem even more significant to him. Just like "somebody's got to see this through all the world is laughing at you" and "someone's gotta change your mind".

I've always loved the song Brown Eye's .....It's one of my favorites on Tusk...Now I like the original version to the Box set version....which I usually love the songs or versions that weren't released or outtakes but not on this one....I think that the box set version just miss the mark and I also love the 'shala.la.la's' too ...I think thats what makes it so awesome & to hear Stevie & Lindsey in the background ....I wished we could've seen video during the making of Tusk for this song also....that would've been awesome.....there's probably alot from what they recorded on video that we won't ever see....how sad.....I love this song also....

I would pay Eagles/Fleetwood Mac concert money, just to hear Stevie talk about what she thought of the lyrics on the UTS album. Heck, there's some GOS stuff I want her input on as well!

And you can hear demos (like Given Thing or Wear You Out) and know that words aren't as important to him as the feeling is, but even so, there are some songs where he takes extraordinary pains with the words, IMO.

Reading the 1982 interviews amused me because along with implying that Mick's clothes started to smell after a few performances, she said that Lindsey wore one of 2 Armani suits each night, white or gray. I got said thinking that the poor guy is now down to one suit. Times are tough.

I love "Brown Eyes." It's one of the best songs off "Tusk" and one of my favorite Christine songs. If its true, I can't believe Christine doesn't like it.

Then again, you do find that some artist will dislike their own beloved songs.
