Yeah I would think the jeans were very early on before she had the money to complete her look she had in mind.

Probably. When I see Stevie in jeans, it makes her seem more accessible, like she'd be someone who'd want to hang out with her fans. In her dresses, it would feel more like trying to approach The Queen.
