Boy I hope you're right, Matt.

It will be incredibly dull because the Colts will dominate the game hands down. Take out stupid mistakes like turn overs, which the Saints can certainly not count on Indy giving up, and you see just how clearly the Vikings were the better team last night-- they controlled the game in yards and downs. If the Saints can't come out on top in stats over Minnesota, not to mention if they have to go into overtime after five turnovers at home, they don't have a chance against Indy. I don't want to watch a superbowl I already know the outcome of, though I might enjoy betting on those -5 points.

The Vikings were clearly the better team. They had 5 turnovers and still only lost by 3 points. The dominated almost every stat in that game (time of possession, yards, etc.). The Saints were lucky to come out of that game with a win.

I'm happy for the Saints for finally making the Super Bowl. For a long time the "Aints" were the NFL's version of the LA Clippers. That leaves the Detroit Lions as the last remaining old NFL team never to have made the Super Bowl.

They may have been lucky, but they're the ones going to the Super Bowl and Favre and the Vikings aren't. Speaking of luck, the Vikings had their share of good fortune with a lame late hit out of bounds call and two fumbles that they were fortunate enough to recover. It all comes down to the two things I knew would happen going in; coaching and Favre. The 12 men in the huddle infraction was a disaster that falls directly on Brad Childress. The subsequent interception falls directly on Favre, although I would also place blame on Childress for making that call as well. When it came to overtime, the Vikings defense did not do enough to prevent the Saints from making it to field goal range. In a year where kickers around the league have missed game tying/winning kicks, the Saints kicker showed some nerve and came through with a career best kick.

In the end, it doesn't matter how they won. The Saints are going to the Super Bowl.

Exactly, the saints are going to the superbowl. I never said they weren't. I just believe the better team did not win, and the saints will lose to the colts. They barely beat a teams that had 5 turnovers whether the vikings recovered them are not. I just don't think the saints have a chance, which is just fine with me because I LOVE the Colts and I'm going to marry Peyton

I don't know if I'd call them the better team considering all those f*ck ups. 5 turnovers? Wow. "Better" teams don't make that many mistakes in 1 game, and certainly not a playoff game.

Couldn't help but chuckle when Favre hobbled off the field - didn't find it funny that he might be hurt, but I did find it funny that he literally looked like an 80 year old man walking.

I guess I'll be rooting for the Saints, if only cuz they've never gone to the big show before. Sorry Maria.

Well the vikings did not play good enough to win, but to have only lost by 3 points with all of those mistakes makes me believe they are the better of the two teams.

You know, I'll get over it. Like I said, in a way its good, because if the Vikings would've won a super bowl with Brett Favre, a former Packer, that would've really upset me. Viking fans are taught at a very early age that the Green Bay Packers are the mortal enemy, period. In the end I'd rather win a super bowl legitimately rather than with one of the enemy being a key role.

As a Bears fan I also have been raised to hate the Packers and the Vikings, but even I thought it was pretty sh*tty for Favre to go to the Vikings. What a way to treat your loyal fans in Green Bay. Going to the Jets was one thing, as they aren't even in the NFC, but to the Vikings? I don't think we would have accepted him in Chicago, although we need all the help we can get.

But in the end it worked out since the Vikings lost. I hope the Saints win just because they've never been to the Big Game. As it is I'll mostly be enjoying the SuperBowl for the commercials again this year as I'm not invested in either team.
