Default New version of Wild Heart by Gentleman Reg

I really enjoy this cover! I've seen them play it twice live, and I'm so glad they chose to put it on their new EP

Should be nice but it won't play for me as I'm in Canada.

Interesting. The music is nice, but I'm not a fan of the vocals. It always drives me crazy when singers don't enunciate normally. Also, I think this is kind of a boring song unless it's being sung by Stevie backstage.

Thanks for this info tothegypsy, I was not familiar with this band. I really like this cover. It sounds more like the demo that Stevie was singing for the Rolling Stone cover shoot (if I'm not mistaken) on that bootleg video floating around.

I like how they took the most sensitive lyrics of the song and repeated them over and over .... "where is the reason, don't blame it on me, blame it on my wild heart ..."

At least once in your life you will probably have an experience (if you haven't had it already) where logic is thrown out the window. As Stevie once said somewhere (when talking about "love") "sometimes it does drive you crazy but you just have to have it", therefore, don't blame it on me, blame it on my wild heart ....

I love it - so heartfelt.

It's a great cover.
I posted about this cover in this forum back in early December about this track, but to a cold audience.
Nice to see some others enjoy it too.

Shows you just how widely seen & influential that video is of the photo shoot. These guys are adapting that "Wild Heart" -- not the "Wild Heart" on the 1983 album.

Unrelated to the WH song, but I thought this was cute, and quite good actually! These kids look young!

This is really cool . Not to compare, but Stevie's vocals with Lori are by far so much more heartfelt to my ear, but this was definitely very cool. I liked the guitar, and the way he says" heart" , not to crazy about the" reason" enunciation either. Also, as David stated its wild to see how influential this video shoot clip is to so many people. Thanks for posting.

I noticed that immediately! How weird is it that this cover version is based on the early working version that Stevie was singing to during a photo shoot!

And I've always wondered about the WH dressing room video - was she trying to look like Little Bo Peep or Nelly from Little House on the Prairie?
