Default Lindseys Favourites ...

Hi everyone, over on the Stevie forum someone found footage of Stevie on an interview where she was asked what was her favourite Chris and Lindsey songs... So I was wondering is there any footage of Lindsey saying what his favourite Chris and Stevie songs are??

I heard Lindsey say that "Hold Me" was a "Helluva song by Christine..." on a Mirage era live bootleg.

I don't know if it necessarily meant it was his favorite, but there was an interview, from the last decade I believe, where he says Gypsy was his favorite song of Stevie's to work on/with.. again, I don't know if that means its his favorite Stevie song, still, I found it interesting.

I think Lindsey has said his favorite song of Christine's is You Make Loving Fun. As for Stevie, he recently praised Storms quite a bit, but not sure if that's his favorite.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Stand Back is probably his most enjoyable Stevie solo song, just because he does such a damn good job lip-synching to it...and it's the cutest thing to watch as well.

Ha! I remembering feeling guilty when I had front row in front of Lindsey during that song because I was paying much more attention to him rocking out and having a dance party than Stevie singing the song.

How could you not pay more attention to him? He was so cheesy, loved it! I remember nothing of Stevie's performance during this song. I don't think I even looked at her, okay maybe when she was spinning, as I recall a photo I took...but anyway I always assumed his favorite Stevie song was Gypsy since that's the one he mentions the most as The Chain pointed out.

I have to agree! And seeing him pick on/flirt with the audience sat on the tiers on his side of the stage during "I need abit of sympathy" part.

As well as him making the guitar part look like a piece of p*ss

The only two Chris McVie songs I've ever heard Lindsey praise as songs (i.e., for their construction) are HOLD ME & YOU MAKE LOVING FUN, as you guys have already noted. (He has also lauded his own work, or the band's work in general, on YMLF.)

As for GYPSY, which he has mentioned several times, it has always been his (or the band's) work on the track he has discussed. I'd like to hear Lindsey single out a Stevie Nicks song as a favorite of his not as an example of his own orchestration but as a song.

I have always believed & still do that Lindsey thinks of Stevie essentially as an excellent singer, but only a decent songwriter (& often not even that).

And he has said that he was proud of Thrown Down, more recently.

Yes, I don't think Lindsey particularly likes Stand Back, but he's really cute on it and I'm glad LIB caught a little of him lipsynching during the number.

I do watch Stevie during Stand Back these days, but without any hyperbole at all, during the Dance tour, I never even glanced at her during the song. I have no idea what she did for SB on that tour. Unless she happened to be looking at Christine and Lindsey -- which she sometime did very quickly -- she never even crossed my radar during Stand Back.

I recall a mention in the notes of the SYW tour book but I do not have the program handy at the moment.
