I think the boots on the Hard Rock site have a smaller platform, I actually prefer them.
Mm, you could be right about the platform.
Great photo btw! It's one of my faves from SYW, because you can see the boots and because I love that long, sparkly robe-thing.

I seem to recall that is actually when those lovely Frankenboks made their debut. I believe the story was that she had broken her foot and was soldiering on despite the ugly shoes. I'm not sure if it was the foot problem or the Klonopin haze, but Mama did. not. move. an. inch once she stood at the mic.

May I ask where you got your boots from your image? I love them!

Thanks! I order my boots from either one of two places always. I love my boots and can't ever have enough . I have that particular pair custom made for me from a bootmaker overseas and have always been pleased with the work. There are high quality "Stevie-like" boots out there that won't cost you next months mortgage and you can shop with the confidence of any shopper that if perhaps you don't like what's sent you, you can ask for a replacement or your money back. I think some of these people offering up "their" version of Stevie boots can leave a bad feeling in a shoppers gut before making such a high purchase because of their return policies. I've also found ShoesUSA will make you a great Stevie Nicks boot in any color suede for under 500.00 (but cheaper for women) because us men have to pay more for larger custom sizes but it's still a great deal I think and worth it and another place I shop with confidence. I get in trouble sometimes for "infringing" on what other people (on Ebay etc.) are offering as Stevie-boots but I just love talking boots and letting you people know there are other places to find a good quality SN boot, you just have to know where to look and shop. Don't fall for that "One Stop Shop" stuff.

Though now that I've typed that, I don't think you can say you want to hug someone's shoes and not have it be creepy. My bad.

I had a ready-made Stevie-ish pair (not suede, but smooth leather) that I wore a ton, but then I lost a bunch of weight and they bagged too unattractively around my ankles and calves. I'd like to get a custom pair one day, but so spendy.

I'm a lover of all types of boots, though, so I have many knee-high boots that aren't really Stevie-ish, too.

Thanks! I don't mind people who adore boots. I could talk Stevie clothes and boots all day. I went for a period from 2006-2008 where I was buying stuff for my Stevie- wardrobe until I seriously had to stop. I had boot boxes going up my wall and always buying clothes and that awesome shawl I'd have to have. It's cool stuff to own and I know it's there whenever I do feel like getting into it all and dressed all up. Stevie- style clothes are the only female clothes I care to wear or look like and if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't dress up at all. I just always loved her style of wispy gypsy wear. That witchy look. I do think my love of chunky platform boots has rubbed off on one of my younger sisters because she recently went to the mall and bought her some very nice knee high black leather platform boots and wears them every weekend that she goes out and she says people compliment her in them. Granted they're not as extreme a rock boot as mine but hers is like a 1" platform and 5 inch heel and I have mine made the full 2 inch platform and 5 inch heel or so and I love them and make no apologies about them lol

Funny story. Very early on when I had first started getting into buying "Stevie style" stuff and before I started having my boots custom made, I had found these black leather boots online that looked "Stevie-ish" and high enough in the pic and cost over 80.00. So I wait a few days and they arrive and I open the box to find these enormously huge black fetish boots with a very high platform and 7 inch heel. So on they go cause I wanted to try them out. I took two steps and fell on my ass but luckily I collapsed on my bed. Those boots got one try out and they are still in the box they came in new, and still wrapped in plastic since that day in 2006. No more extreme fetish boots for me! lol

Would you be willing to share your source overseas with me? I'm looking a buy a custom made pair, but have certain things in the sewing I want done. Is your person overseas easy to work with and are they over 500.00? Thanks and PM me if you like.
