She just looks cackley. I don't like smiling Stevie. I like serious, mouth slightly-agape Stevie in her timeless outfits. These 80's outfits date her immensely. It's like looking at an 80's high school yearbook.

I do think Stevie looked good with some glow to her and a tan back then. We all do really, but I know it's healthier just to stay pale.

I think Stevie looks amazing in the pictures from the MTV awards, but she's made a big mistake in terms of makeup, in that her foundation is too light for her because she's got a tan. It's as bad as having orange tide-lines around the jaw. That's why you're supposed to have two sets of makeup for winter and summer. She certainly had enough money to do so!

Alas, Lucy, I wish I could have a reason to have two sets of makeup. I stay one color all year long.

I think that may be the case too. Or maybe it was just bad lighting? We everyday folks know better than to make that mistake, so I'm hoping Stevie or any professional makeup artist she used would know that. But makeup looks different in different light, so it depends really.

The 1987 MTV awards were not held in Australia??!!!?? The photos of Stevie at the MTV awards were either in LA or New York. Stevie and Christine presented an award and when they were intro'd they got up out of the audience and walked to the stage. I taped the show that year because I knew Stevie was going to be there somewhere.
