Songs That Give You Nostalgia

I've said this enough on other threads, so I'll say it for the last time here - "Little Lies" is a big nostalgia song for me, as it's one of three songs I remember from my early childhood, probably when I was about three or fours years old. The others are "Walk of Life" by Dire Straits, and "Heart of Glass" by Blondie. They remind me of driving around forested areas (I went camping a lot), and... well, being a young child! "Little Lies" is also a favourite FM song of mine, always near the top of my ever-changing list of FM song preferences (like "Silver Springs" and "Brown Eyes").
So, what songs (particularly FM related, of course) make you come over all nostalgic? What do you think of when you hear them? Are they favourite song/s of yours? And anything else worth mentioning?

Anything from Say You Will is special to me, simply because that was the first album of FM that I had ever heard!

The rest is beautiful history!

Everytime I hear Dreams playing on the radio it takes me back to the Spring of 1977 when my brother's Eric and David and I & Eric's best friend Jimmy Foster were driving on the highway in a raised up part that gives you a good view of the city. This song came on the radio and Eric turned up the volume saying how much he loved this song.Eric is the one who really got me into The Mac.

There's another story, the story of Rhiannon. In 1976 I went over my best friend's house, Ann Graney. She was raving about some new song she heard on the radio which she thought was called Will You Ever Win. Some days later the song came on and we both heard it together in the kitchen of her home.

These are two nostalgic songs for me from Fleetwood Mac.

I'm 17, so it's kinda hard for me to be nostalgic about Fleetwood Mac, but I'm a nostalgic person. So, songs like Gypsy remind me of my childhood, and there's Landslide : next year, I'm gonna leave my house, my parents, and go my own way, so I'm really nostalgic about everything currently, especially when I hear this song.

Album versions of Everywhere and Little Lies give me nostalgia definitely the most. These songs were my first favourite when I was a little child.

Just yesterday I was looking at a video clip of one of Mick's interviews for the New Zealand show and they were playing the Little Lies video and it filled me with wistfulness. Although, I guess it was the visual of the band looking like they did then more than the music that really got to me.

Definetly Rhiannon,Gold Dust Woman,Landslide,Gypsy,Seven Wonders pretty much anything from FM is nostalgic for me.

For me, the whole Tango in the Night album (esp. Big Love) is nostalgic. I had already been a fan of Lindsey and had liked Stevie's singles from Rock a Little, but until TITN, I didn't know they were in a band together. Then after saw the video for 'Big Love', it was Fleetwood Mac forever for me. Then I bought other albums and realized I had even liked the singles off of Christine's album, even though I didn't know her name at the time. TITN reminds me of first becoming a fan and discovering all the great music Fleetwood Mac had ever done.

I would say probably the entire "Rock A Little" album only because I got that album right around this time of year. It had come out in November as I recall but being only 14 at the time, I didn't have the $$ to get it. While out Christmas shopping with my father, I saw the album plastered all over the wall of the mall record store (those were awesome days!) and said I wanted the album. My father said I could get it as an early Christmas present. I played the hell out of that thing all winter long. Hearing that album today, 24 years later, I get taken right back to that Christmas/winter.

Also, my mom used to play Mirage a lot, and for some reason to this day that is the only FM album she likes. So especially "Hold Me" and "Gypsy" remind me of being a child and watching her clean the house.

Im a relatively new fan i guess, since last year

anyway, I hated the mac for a long time, Idk why but their songs just annoyed me.

And then I went to a barbershop... and my life was forever changed.
The radio was broken, so they played the dance in its entirety.

I was blown away instantly! This was the best live preformance i had ever heard! All of their voices seemed so perfect... oh I would kill to relive that experience...
Landslide was so beautiful(and made me realize that I was listening to FM, and a new fan), Big Love sent shivers down my spine, silver Springs was so powerful, Tusk scared the wits out of me yet remained enthralling, My Little Demon also was a standout.

Go Your Own Way was a near religous experience. I felt that no other song had captured so much of the emotions that i have felt all my life as well. This song that I had HATED with a passion became MY SONG in a instant.

Say You Will was the next album I bought(admittedly because i really liked the cover art) and was also a knockout. Buckingham has got to be on top of my favorite producers and guitarist list.
Since then i bought rumours and tusk, delved into stevie solo, and gotten through some tough times listening to the mac.

Only a few other bands (U2, Smashing Pumpkins) have ever had such an effect on me. And I am grateful that the mac continue to bless us with their music.
