Default Retro Night Gig - Stevie with or w/o cockatoo?

Hey All,

I have a retro gig coming up and I had Stevie added to the flier ... my first choice was for the classic Bella Donna pic however, not sure that it "lays" well with the overall look. I like both but, just curious as to which one you all prefer.

Don't cut out Max!!

The picture of Stevie with Max is so much more recognizably 'Stevie' in my opinion. You've gotta have some evidence of batwing-age for it to be her . Great looking flier by the way

On a related note, I had no idea there was any sort of a club scene of SW DC... I thought that area was mainly office buildings. Learn something new every day!

I'd say without max, the picture looks to small compared to all of the other people, and I dig how the second flier, without max, looks compared to the first

I can appreciate the sentiment, but it does look better without the bird. Love the picture you chose for the second one too.

Hi Louie,

I agree that the BD pic is classic Stevie and most people would know who it was as opposed to the other picture, but I think the 2nd choice fits better. I'm probably just going to post both of them, since they are made ;-). Glad you like the flier, I have a friend do them for me, I don't have that talent.

Yes, most of SW is a lot of office buildings. Back in the day Secrets, Tracks, Wet, etc ... were on the SE side. Tracks closed in 99 and a few years ago the others had to relocate due to the baseball stadium being built. Serecets finally reopened this past Feb.

Thanks for chiming in Crist and CAD ... it's funny, I have asked this question on another board and in some emails and all responses have been split ... I think I'm just going to rotate them on various sites and ads.

I hate the picture on the second one. Definitely the first.

I think the first one makes Stevie more recognizable to people who may not be serious fans.

now that you say them i recognize them... but I think people are gonna recognize who they already know.
I think we're all looking at it subjectively.
I dig the first one because people would know it was stevie,
but its the whole thing, not just her, in which case I think picture 2 goes better

I think I listen to too much '80s music! I guess I failed to remember the fact that a lot of people would not remember the way these musicians looked then. That's what happens when you watch VH-1 Classic everyday, you forget these people got older!

Ok, that woman behind Paula and next to Prince, I don't recognize her, but I know everyone else. The sad thing is, I would sooner recognize them from that photo than I would from the way they look today.

I'd have to go with the second choice. The bird on George's shoulder is why. I just think the second one looks better IMO.
