I am, and can I say, Taylor Swift is so horrible live! She sounds like her little fan girls that are crowded around her. It's amazing what a good producer and sound board can do for you.

Martina's tribute to Barbara Mandrell was great, however. Love her and George Strait

Faith Hill is looking very Stevie Nicks tonight.

I can't believe Taylor Swift just won Entertainer of the Year. I guess she's popular, but not really what I think of when I think of country music.

This has been one of my Favorite bands for the past year... and now they have a New Single out called, "Need You Now" ~... which is really Awesome... Love the lyric, piano and vocal harmonies to this song... The remind me of the 'Country' version of Stevie & Lindsey... (you can also hear their influence's by the Eagles)...

I am happy too, for Taylor Swift.
She won serveral awards tonight... including 'Best Female Vocalist', and 'Entertainer of the Year'...
And No One came up on the stage and yanked her mic out of her hand, during her 'acceptance' speech...

LMAOoooooooooooo ~ ... I'd sure hate to wake up tomorrow and see on GMA ... Kanye West pulling a bunch of size 10/ and a half cowboy boots out of his ass!!! LOL!!!

I also liked when Vince Gill joined Daughtry on 'Daughtry's new song called, "Tennessee Line" ~...

I thought about half the performances were good, the other half not so much. Yeah, Taylor Swift sounds horrid live, but for some reason, I don't mind her that much. She is getting overexposed, though.

I like Lady Antebellum too and am glad they won. SO sick of Rascal Flatts. Blech.

Lady A's performance was good. I always enjoy Keith Urban. Sugarland too. Jennifer Nettles is twangy, but girl can really sing.

I hate not getitng enough country music in the UK. We used to geta butchered 90 min highlights show on the BBC but now we don;t even get that!

Who won what??

Are the CMA fan voted? If not, I cannot, understand how that happened. Were Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert not in the same category?!

I even like Taylor Swift, but she's not a great vocalist, especially compared to the majority of female country singers.

They are voted on by CMA members, yours truly included. I voted for Reba for female vocalist. The reason she got it is that she is the golden child of the industry right now. I'm in radio promotion and I work the Big Machine/Valory singles. All I have to do is say Taylor Swift and most programmers immediately say yes. She's outsold almost everyone combined in country for the past two years and you can't open one the trades without seeing something about her. It's the whole 'Taylor is going to save Nashville" thing so of course if Nashville is voting it's going to be for her.

I agree completely. This can be the only reason for her awards clean up, surely? Wynona Judd made the comment that it was too soon for her to be winning the Entertainer of the Year. Not that she isn;t a good entertainer, but she's only just appeared and it's too much too soon. I completely agree.

I'd have voted for Miranda as female vocalist, I think.

By the way, does anyone have any news on Sara Evans' new album? I love her and have been waiting for ages for it! I didn;t buy the annoying Greatest Hits cos I already have the albums. I also hope that 'Fells Just Like A Love Song' isn't an indication of the new record as a whole...oh dear...

Hurrah for Sugarland winning the CMA again. I love them!!

It's actually who sends out the best goodies.

Darius sent out 8 balls with his name on it and all these facts about him and his career instead of the standard 'yes', 'no', 'maybe'. (Biggest piece of crap but it seemed to do the trick...) Taylor sent out a copy of her album and a tour book. Lady A sent a vinyl copy of their album.

Coincidence that all these people won? I think not...lol
