Default Any Brandi Carlile fans?

I absolutely love Brandi Carlile and I saw her show last night in suburban Philadelphia. Words cannot describe. An amazing, amazing show. Her voice is stunning. I didn't think she'd sound as good live as she does on her records but she sounded ten times better. I would have liked a few more songs from her debut CD but I'm certaintly not complaining. She did a few songs "unplugged" and I mean unplugged: she stood at the edge of the stage with two guitar players and sung without a mike. Luckily, I was sitting towards the front of the theatre so I could hear her pretty well. It gave a whole new spin on live performance, really beautiful!!

The only song of hers I know is "The Heartache Can Wait", which I love.

The Story, Late Morning Lullaby and Follow are a few of my faves by Brandi. This girl can sing.

that song isn't on any of her albums and I've never heard it. Now I need to!! I think it was on an EP or a b-side.

It was on some Christmas CD I think? Released in '08 or '07?

Edit: it's called The Hotel Cafe Presents Winter Songs

Brandi 's new album. her fourth studio album is yet another stellar effort.Partially self produced it feels more intimate in places .Her songs defy genre and have a timeless quality to them and her voice is among the best out there .To add to all this she is a very captivating live performer .What I don't get is that why is she not a much bigger star? I guess the music business really is broken.

The new album is great but I might be slightly biased because I love Brandi and her co-producer/engineer is my friend.

She was killer at the Ryman. Went off mic and just used the room acoustics. Absolutely stellar.

She did that out here at the Uptown in Napa no mic and in the dark just chilling .I have been going to concerts since the 1970s and Brandi is the real deal.

I like that one too. It's probably my favorite.

Btw, she uploaded a new video to YouTube
yesterday. Old Kris Kristofferson is in it.

So I had no idea she's got a new album out!! Cannot wait to download and listen this weekend!! I thought her last effort was her weakest to date so I'm curious to hear how this new one will sound!

I think she's great too. Reminds me of Maria McKee's voice.
